DHS Sec Kelly Reaffirms DACA Amnesty; Durbin Pleased

Sorry if this has been posted already; excerpts below:

Kelly: Homeland Isn't Targeting Law-Abiding ‘Dreamers’

“By definition, they’re no longer DACA if they have a violation”

The Homeland Security Department is not seeking to deport undocumented young people enrolled in an Obama administration program who have not violated the terms of their protected status, Secretary John F. Kelly told Senate Democrats on Wednesday.

    ...

“By definition, they’re no longer DACA if they have a violation,” Kelly told reporters after the meeting. “The DACA status is a commitment not only by the government towards the so-called Dreamer, but by that person to obey the law, and some of them don’t. We have not picked up — I don’t care what you read or people say — we have not in my time picked up someone who was covered by DACA.” -

But Minority Whip Richard J. Durbin, D-Ill., said the meeting was “very positive.”

“There was some clarity that came out of it in terms of the standards that are being used at Homeland Security, and some reassurances,” he said.

Promise broken. Amnesty continues in the Trump Administration and Secretary Kelly brags about it. Not good at all. They lied.

As mentioned before, if we use the average daily numbers given for DACA, new sign ups and renewals, the Trump Administration is giving amnesty to @20,000 plus illegal aliens a month.

Commitment? DACA is an overreach, many say an unconstitutional act by Obama through Executive Order.

Durbin says the meeting was "very positive." For illegal aliens, yes indeed, but for American citizens, no. The American people should be very displeased.

Secretary Kelly says they have not picked up someone covered by DACA. There are reports that they have.

Kelly is a terrible cabinet choice as far as illegal immigration goes. Big amnesty guy.

On the bright side, perhaps DACA is a Trojan Horse of our own. Keep 'em quiet and happy and then boom, we zoom in, grab 'em, and deport 'em when school's out. I think that's why Trump is waiting until June. As painful as it is for us to wait, watch and wonder while we vent and fume our dissatisfaction with DACA 2012, I truly hope this is the plan.

If that is your hope, I think you're going to be sorely disappointed. Just saying ......

Maybe so. It won't be the first time. We'll see what happens down the road in a couple of months. But, that said, we still need to keep the pressure on about ending DACA.

If Trump truly intended to keep his campaign promise, he would have nominated Kobach for the job Kelly now has. From Kelly's meeting with LA Mayor Garcetti:

    *****

"During the meeting, Kelly seemed especially interested in emphasizing that Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials, who work under DHS, do not conduct “sweeps” or “checkpoints” — methods that cast a wider net on large groups of immigrants at particular locations — but rather are targeting “specific individuals,” according to Kivork."

They're doing it by individual based on the additional wrong-doing. That's their priority right now to get criminals, visa-overstays, and welfare users out of the country first, including all those waiting for a deportation hearing. To me that is the right plan for now because there is no argument, no complex identification process, and a much more rapid deportation opportunity to get them out. And far less boo hoo, sob story, hysteria while you're doing it. And it appears that it's spread out all over the country which to me is also the right way to do it. No one can relax, anywhere, because ICE is ... everywhere.

Lets keep the pressure on, and hope they find a good place for Kobach because he would be such a great asset to help fix our country especially on the issues of illegal and excess legal immigration.

Trump Should End DACA Amnesty for illegals

At Americans for Legal Immigration PAC, we believe that President Trump should stop reneging on his campaign promise to end DACA Amnesty for illegals on his first day in office! In fact, we are giving him until April 17 to do so or he will lose our collective endorsement. (details)

Trump Should End DACA Amnesty for illegals

    NO AMNESTY

Don't reward the criminal actions of millions of illegal aliens by giving them citizenship.
