RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) - A Raleigh man is facing multiple sex crime charges involving young children, according to Wake County arrest warrants.
Francisco Cervantes-Gutierrez, 37, of the 4300 block of Hollow Tree Court is facing five counts of indecent liberties with a child and one count of first-degree statutory sex. Warrants show the crimes are believed to have occurred throughout 2017. He was arrested July 27.
According to the warrants, the sex crimes involved two children — one who was 10 years old and the other who was 8 years old.
In addition to the child sex crime charges, a Department of Homeland Security Immigration and Customs Enforcement detainer is included with the warrants. According to the paper work, Cervantes-Gutierrez is a citizen of Mexico and is believed to be the United States illegally. The government has requested that authorities contact ICE before Cervantes-Gutierrez is released from custody.
Cervantes-Gutierrez is being held in the Wake County Detention Center under a $1.5 million secured bond. His first court appearance is set for Monday.
