(RALEIGH) -- Over 3,000 illegal immigrants have been identified in North Carolina this year because of a new cooperation between Sheriffs and federal immigration authorities. Seven county sheriffs have a formal arrangement with the federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement office or ICE to identify illegal immigrants.

This year over 4500 jail inmates in those counties were suspected of being illegal immigrants and ICE took custody of over 3,000. Eddie Caldwell with the Sheriffs’ Association says most were deported. He says almost half of the immigrants had been charged with murder, assault or some other violent offense. The rest were arrested for drunk driving or other vehicle related offenses.

Odds sure aren't in their favor......they all aren't these good, honest, hardworking victims they like to protray themselves as.
