Just two days after the America First! rally at Main Beach that drew 2,500 and resulted in three arrests, Laguna Beach has arrested a fourth person on suspicion of assault.

On Monday, Aug. 22, police received a report of an assault and a video provided by the victim. The video had also been posted on social media sites.

“The video shows a black man wearing a ‘Make America Great Again’ shirt hit squarely in the face by another man,” said Sgt. Jim Cota.

According to police, a man was talking peacefully with a group of people at the rally Sunday when he was punched in the face by a man, who then fled.

The victim, identified as R.C. Maxwell of Inglewood, told KTLA that he was attacked because of the color of his skin.

Maxwell told KTLA that he was attacked by someone from the left because he was a “black man who happens to support President Donald Trump.”

“It important we show violence on the left when it happens,” Maxwell said.

Laguna Beach police detectives recognized the man in the video and found him in town on Tuesday night as he was trying to buy a bus pass to Ohio. The man was identified as 20-year-old Richard Losey of Lancaster, Ohio.

“He was arrested on suspicion of battery and making threats,” Cota said.

On Sunday, Laguna Beach police also arrested Samuel Gonzales on suspicion of resisting and delaying arrest; Harlan William Pankau on suspicion of weapons charge for carrying a knife; and Trevail Dominique Johnson was arrested on suspicion of assault.

Police said Losey was booked into Orange County Jail on $50,000 bail on suspicion of misdemeanor battery with a hate crime enhancement.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call 949-497-0701.

I added all of their proper names to the TAGS beneath this post. Please help our efforts to TAG all proper names in articles like this. We need to create a lasting record of what these young thugs working for Soros and shipped in all the way from Ohio are trying to do with their violence and intolerance.

If you apply the TAGS, years from now other people will learn of the crimes committed by these Soros thugs!

Can anyone verify that Bernie Sanders connection? Otherwise, why would a Bernie Sanders supporters make anti-semetic comments while organizing under Trump's slogan "America First" ???

Johnny Benitez, Rising Star In Alt-Right Circles, Isn't Who He Says He Is—Or Is He?

    WEDNESDAY, APRIL 26, 2017 AT 1 P.M.
    BY GABRIEL SAN ROMAN

    Bob Aul

Three bald white guys seated on the patio of the Gypsy Den in Santa Ana last November had one thing on their minds: reviving the long-dormant Orange County chapter of the Industrial Workers of the World (IWW), a leftist labor union better known as the Wobblies.

Sterling Abrades was dressed in all black, a Louis Vuitton scarf draped over his shoulders—because nothing says class struggle like accessorizing! The licensed massage therapist talked about his background with Greenpeace and mentioned he spoke with folks thinking about starting a local anti-fascist (or "antifa") group.

Abrades mused about starting a worker-owned spa, a task doable with just $400,000 in initial funds. But others had more pragmatic goals in mind: finding at least one person to recruit by year's end to grow the group. "I don't have any social networks," Abrades told them.

Except those in his own mind. See, Sterling Abrades isn't Sterling Abrades. His real name is Juan Cadavid. And for the past couple of months, Cadavid tried to join different leftist OC groups under the names "Sterling Abrades" and "Dorian Navidson."

But his newest persona is suddenly everywhere in pro-Trump circles across Orange County and beyond. As Johnny Benitez, Cadavid attended the Make America Great Again (MAGA) rally in Huntington Beach last month waving a "Blue Lives Matter" flag while sporting a red MAGA hat backward and a "Reagan 40" jersey in honor of the Gipper-in-chief.

If Cadavid had a change of heart politically, it came about quickly.

He created social-media personas under the Benitez name in March.

In the leadup to the MAGA march, Cadavid tried to advise counterprotesters as Dorian Navidson, but he became frustrated when his militant tactical suggestions fell on deaf ears. "He messaged me that he was going to infiltrate MAGA and that was going to be his big thing," said Sharon Tipton, a counterprotest organizer involved with OC's Socialist Party chapter.

In messages Tipton shared with the Weekly, Cadavid boasted his past connections with white supremacist groups would help him cozy up to the local alt-right.

Indeed, when Cadavid appeared at the Huntington Beach pro-Trump rally on March 25, he turned full Trumpbro. "I'm here to support our president and because I'm concerned about the erosion of our Second Amendment rights," Cadavid told FOX News Channel in a quick soundbite. He also started a "Make Orange County Great Again" Facebook page, which has 220 "likes."

But Cadavid's biggest MAGA moment came during the Battle of Berkeley on April 15. Dressed in a black Jolly Roger shirt, Cadavid readied to hold the line against antifa protesters. He chased down a retreating protester and ninja-kicked him. Cadavid posed next to Kyle Chapman (of #BasedStickMan infamy) for his own pictures while staring down photographers with his hardest American History Xlook.
It worked. Cadavid's mug appeared in major news stories, including in the Los Angeles Times. He took advantage of his newfound fame to publish a story on conservative website The Red Elephants that claimed Berkeley Mayor Jesse Arreguin welcomed political violence against conservatives in his city. Cadavid accompanied Huntington Beach MAGA march organizer Jennifer Sterling to an on-camera interview for FOX Business Channel and told The New York Times (as Benitez, who was identified as being from Orange County), "I don't really have a connection to Berkeley. The reason we go there is to support people who feel that their First Amendment rights are being infringed, our fellow conservatives in the city of Berkeley."

Keeping the momentum going, Cadavid is appearing at Mt. Baldy this Saturday as a speaker celebrating Trump's first 100 days in office. Among the D-list alt-right stars joining him are Chapman, the vlogger Baked Alaska, and white nationalist writer Brittany Pettibone. All the while, none of the left-wing OC groups that came in contact with him say they've received any of his promised alt-right info.

Is Cadavid a leftist trying to punk the Right, a right-winger trying to trump the left, a double agent, or just a naïve adventurist?

Whatever the case may be, Cadavid's online transformations are sloppy. He originally left his Twitter name as "Sterling Abrade" while changing his handle to "Johnny__MAGA"; a Google search of that name yields an October 2016 video in which he spoke at the Orange County Department of Education as a former Laguna Hills High School football player in favor of ending invocations and removing "In God We Trust" from meeting quarters.

Last fall, "Sterling Abrade" wrote a response to a Quora question on Karl Marx and the USSR. "The Soviet Union was at best a state-Capitalist monopoly," Cadavid wrote, sounding every bit the learned leftist. "Marx would have denounced the Soviet Union as a perversion of his ideals, of this there is no doubt."

This isn't the first time Cadavid tried to make a name—or two or three—for himself in OC political circles. In 2011, he joined Occupy OC and the Justice for Kelly Thomas movement as Joey Cadavid.

That October, an Orange County Register photo showed Cadavid leading a vigil with Cathy Thomas, Kelly's mother, as they held a "We Love You Kelly" banner he told the Register he made. He wrote pieces for The Fullertonian and Friends for Fullerton's Futureblogs.

And he appeared in the Weekly, telling reporter Marisa Gerber, "If there's one positive thing about [supporters of Thomas], it's that people realize that sometimes their political, sexual orientation and class differences are not nearly as important to them as they thought when faced with a real issue."

Juan Cadavid, Sterling Abrade(s), Dorian Navidson and Johnny Benitez all failed to return the Weekly's request for comment.

Instead, he posted a video with multiple explanations of why he uses various names, none political. Cadavid promptly hung up on the Weekly's follow-up call.

Cadavid continues that persona on a public Facebook page, on which he goes by Johnny C. "I don't apologize for my ancestors conquering the brutal Aztecs," he recently wrote. "I am unapologetically American. I am unapologetically white."

He also uploaded a video of himself laughably defending the need for a transparent right-wing movement, even in polarizing times. "I am everything that antifa isn't," he boasted. "Where they wear masks to hide their face, I am comfortable and proud of my political positions."

    All of them?

UPDATED: OC GOP Rejects Alt-Right Figure Johnny Benitez Over Alleged Anti-Semitism

    MONDAY, AUGUST 7, 2017 AT 9:46 A.M.
    BY FRANK JOHN TRISTAN

UPDATE, AUGUST 9, 3:42 P.M.; Just days after being accused of anti-semitism by the Orange County Republican Party, Juan Cadavid a.k.a. Johnny Benitez has taken issue with the Holocaust remembrance group Lessons of the Past accusing them of throwing "anti-white" events in cahoots with global human rights organization

    The Simon Wiesenthal Center.
In his video below he says these groups use the Holocaust to tell people "how terrible Western Europeans are", alleges Holocaust remembrance groups push inaccurate facts and blames the Holomodor famine on Jewish Bolsheviks which he calls "much worse" than the Holocaust.

He still denies the OC GOP's allegations by using Jewish right-wingers as a show Jewish people hold his same views. Maybe next he'll utilize the fact he donated to a Bernie Sanders PAC and Sanderista group Brand New Congress just last year before his jump to the right. Now, he's encouraging his viewers (some of which are open holocaust deniers) to flood Lessons of the Past founder Jennifer-Lynne Brack's Facebook with messages and is considering protesting their August 19 event with his followers which will feature speeches by Holocaust survivors. On behalf of Lessons of the Past, Brack has issued the following statement to the Weekly:

I founded Lessons of the Past in response to people like Johnny Benitez. If such people are going to actively spread falsehoods about the Holocaust then I will do everything in my power to combat that with the truth. Intimidation tactics from Benitez and his followers will do nothing but strengthen my resolve to continue and do what is right.

ORIGINAL POST, AUGUST 7, 9:46 A.M.; It seems like every week, local alt-right loser Juan Cadavid a.k.a. Johnny Benitez has a new enemy in his own camp. First, it was a Proud Girls member who grew suspicious after reading the Weekly's article on Cadavid's suspicious past, then "Based Spartan" openly called Cadavid a coward. Proud Boys founder Gavin McInnes followed by giving Cadavid the boot after trying to change PB rules, then 43rd Congressional District candidate Omar Navarro accused Cadavid of slandering him, with alt-right bodyguard Antonio Foreman backing up Navarro.

Now Orange County Republican Party Chairman Fred Whitaker is the latest to face the wrath of Cadavid's Facebook rants.

    RELATED STORIES

Cadavid attempted to table for the OC GOP with former Villa Park councilwoman Deborah Pauly on August 4, 2017 at the OC Fair but they barred him from representing the party after they saw the following video, which they deemed anti-Semitic. In the video, he speaks about "Jewish problems" such as "organized groups of Jews" showing up to counter the alt-right in Berkeley, calls the Bolshevik movement a Jewish movement, criticizes Jewish Americans for not identifying simply as American, rails against the "Jewish lobby on the left that lobbies for open borders and gun control" and "on the right that lobbies for financial aid to Israel." And for good measure, Cadavid—who's Latino—speaks against affirmative action, citing a video about the correlation between IQ and different ethnic groups.

While the OC GOP nixed Cadavid due to the video, it appears to have nothing to due with his Islamophobia, his glorifying of Chilean dictator Augusto Pinochet, opposition to the removal of Confederate statues, transphobic posts, jokes about disabled people, comparing himself to Derek Vinyard from American History X, his use of the triple brackets "((( )))" when identifying Jewish journalist Laura Loomer or even his profile picture containing the valknut, a symbol commonly used by racists. Deborah Pauly wasn't happy to hear her fellow Islamophobe got 86'd and took to Facebook to voice her disapproval of the GOP's decision.

"The Republican Party should be ashamed for shutting down free speech." Pauly commented to Cadavid in an online post August 4, 2017 then later commenting to another user "I am going to be sharing the full story....believe me!"

Cadavid decided to take his response in his own hands in a August 4 live stream where he appeared visibly triggered to say the least.

"Fred Whitaker is a GOP cuckservative." He says in the video, "Fred Whitaker is essentially what you get if you find a weasel and cut off it's balls. He's a worthless human being, he's a blight on the conservative and right-wing political body and he disavowed me for being 'anti-Semitic'. Now I have never in any point in time been anti-Semitic, I've never made any anti-Semitic remarks" before admitting to his remarks in his previous "Jewish problems" video.

And Cadavid continues. He calls out Whitaker for supporting Israel, the GOP for using a leftist tactic by calling him a antisemite, says the GOP refuses to accept the truth, calls the GOP a "disgusting party," maintains the older generation of the GOP doesn't care about the younger generation, encourages everyone to start looking into forming a new right-wing party and states "the Republican party is dead and needs to die."

"You want to tell me not to punch right?" he continues. "**** that!

The people on the right who have all the money and the power are the elites...people who want to support the working class, people who want to actually lower taxes, we don't have a party."

Despite Cadavid's words against Whitaker and the GOP, Pauly continues to stand by Cadavid and even spoke alongside him the next day with alt-right figures such as Augustus Invictus and Joe Biggs at the Make Men Great Again event in Huntington Beach. OC GOP Chairman Fred Whitaker issued the following statement to the Weekly in regards to Cadavid's alleged anti-Semitism and Pauly's defense of his right to "free speech".

"Mr. Benitez" rant on Facebook along with his prior video on the "Jewish problems" speak for themselves as to why he was not allowed to be a representative of the OCGOP. It's a free country, he can say what he pleases and we are free to say this type of vitriol is not acceptable, does not represent the views of the GOP, and cannot be condoned."

Even as Cadavid continues to rack up enemies among conservatives, his reach appears to be growing with upwards of 800 Facebook followers and a group of supporters who support him no matter what he does. Within a little over three months of jumping from the left to the right, he has managed to climb himself to a level where he's spoken alongside alt-right figures such as Kyle Chapman a.k.a. Based Stickman, is interning for the likes of conservative "journalist" Irma Hinojosa and is even running the Alt-Knights of Orange County, whoever the hell they are. Now, Cadavid is teaming up with Tim "Treadstone" Goinet (aka Baked Alaska)—who's so anti-Semitic that he got uninvited from the D.C. Deploraball—for an anti-immigrant rally in Laguna Beach this month.

With all of this punching Right Cadavid is doing, one should remember the texts acquired by the Weekly between Cadavid and a left-wing activist in April.

"I want to climb the social ranks and push a hard right conservative agenda and create a rift between libertarians and conservatives and split up the base," Cadavid wrote in a text shared with the Weekly. "Also it's fun."

It is nothing new for people to move into a group in order to destroy it - lots of lessons down through the years.
