Don't Let Virginia Be The New Arizona:
Marissa Graciosa:
Make your voice heard
This week, the Virginia House of Delegates is considering dozens of harmful immigration bills. Instead of keeping the public safe, police would become immigration officers. Instead of guaranteeing an education for all of Virginia’s youth, the state would limit access for immigrant students.
Virginia is not Arizona. It’s our responsibility to tell the House of Delegates to uphold fairness and economic security for ALL Virginia residents.
Tell the House of Delegates to vote NO on bad immigration bills.
These bills could be voted on as early as this Friday. Let’s be sure we defeat them.
In solidarity,
Marissa Graciosa

State of Virginia:
Virginia has very strict laws and they will not be changed easily.

If you are not legal here in VA, then we don't want you.
I sent a free fax from their site asking that the laws be implemented and enforced. I wonder if they will send it as I wrote or edit it first, lol.

Virginia is not Arizona
No. Virginia is BETTER than Arizona. And there should not be ONE illegal alien in the entire state.

As much crime as we read about from the hands of illegal invaders the public wpuld be a hell of a lot safer! Of course this whole thing was from an illegal's point of view... typical "we are above the law" crap!

Virginians should support the GOP bills, every single one of them, and pass this Republican initiative to end illegal immigration in Virginia. Illegal aliens must be cut off from everything including education. The US Supreme Court was wrong in its ruling in the Texas case on illegal aliens that started this nightmare in our education system, because the Texas school district failed to show the expense. Today, any school district in the US can file a suit and overturn this ruling based on the expense. Apparently at the time, the US Supreme Court Justices couldn't imagine the betrayal of our government with respect to illegal aliens in our country including our schools and weren't able to fathom the financial and educational consequences of their ruling. So, they need a new case that demonstrates the violations of the civil rights of Americans that illegal aliens are responsible for including our school system when they are in our country costing innocent taxpayers money we don't have and good educations our kids need and are entitled to by law. The decline in education performance coupled with the increase in cost is evidence enough that the former ruling was erroneous.

I absolutely agree, Plyer v Doe needs to be overturned. I read the opinion and the Justices felt that it wasn't a widespread problem. At the time (1982 when it was ruled on, filed in 1975), TX was spending 62 million dollars to educate approx 20,000 students. They are now spending 8.9 billion dollars on illegal immigrants. They stated that illegal aliens were not coming here for a free education. The Supreme Court made a ruling without any regard to limits. 25 years later the father of the illegal aliens stated, I wanted an education for my kids.
The only way this situation is going to stop is if people go to their County Board of Supervisors and demand that they challenge Plyer v Doe.
Anybody going to do it???
