Rand Paul rejects U.S. citizenship for babies born to illegal immigrants

    May 28, 2010 | 9:04 am

Rand Paul has told a Russian TV station that he would like to block citizenship to babies born in the U.S. to illegal immigrants.

The Republican candidate for the U.S. Senate from Kentucky said in the interview done shortly after his primary victory last week that the U.S. shouldn't provide an easy route to citizenship. The interview was done with RT, an English-language station in Russia.

Legislation dubbed the Birthright Citizenship Act was introduced in the House last year, seeking to prevent citizenship to babies born to illegal immigrants even though the 14th Amendment to the Constitution guarantees citizenship to everyone born in the U.S.

    NO AMNESTY

Don't reward the criminal actions of millions of illegal aliens by giving them citizenship.

Funny how they left out the little part about "and subject to the jurisdiction thereof" part of the amendment. After all what are complete facts when it comes to reporting on your agenda....errr the news.

Does any other modern industrialized nation have birthright citizenship? I think I read the USA is the only one.

Additionally, I think many modern industrialized nations have official languages.

woo hooo! i hope more politicians follow suit. Anchor babies are a burden to our social services, benefits, schools, teachers, health care! they are a huge expense to taxpayers! many hospitals close across the nation due to the overwhelming patients (of illegal alien women, babies and kids). it's bad enough we have our own citizens on welfare to add to the overwhelming care that don't pay hospital visits. Hospitals that closed has no money to upkeep and pay its staff and health care providers! the sweeping closure of hospitals across the nation is alarming.

Prevent anchor baby births; report and deport illegals showing up at our health departments for taxpayer funded prenatal care.
