    there is a linkage between the war on the poor in Mexico, the lack of representative government for their needs, conspiracies to keep neo-liberal free trade regimes in place leading to a larger pool of landless poor with no economic opportunity which feeds into a larger influx of "illegal" immigrants into the United States.

    I think a good part of the linkage is the billions of dollars Mexican citizens living in the US send back to Mexico each year. Mexico is practically forcing it's poor to move here for work.
