Border Patrol Arrests MS-13 Gang Members in Arizona

    Friday, 20 February 2009 05:31
Tucson, AZ. - Border Patrol agents from the Tucson, Ariz. sector yesterday and today arrested two members of the Mara Salvatrucha 13, or MS-13, gang in separate incidents.

The gang originated in El Salvador and is one of them most violently dangerous and well-organized gangs in the United States. MS-13 criminal activities include drug and illegal alien smuggling, gun running, murder for hire, theft, drug sales and arson.

Early this morning Border Patrol agents assigned to the Tucson processing center identified a Mexican male with a long history of arrests in conjunction with gang offenses and a 16-month prison sentence. When questioned about his gang affiliations, the man admitted to being an active MS-13 member.

Yesterday evening agents from the Nogales station assisted the Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office in determining immigration status on a suspicious individual. Agents noticed numerous tattoos that suggested the man was affiliated with the MS-13 gang. The man claimed his place of birth was the United States and had also given a fictitious name and date of birth.

Record checks processed through the Integrated Automated Fingerprint Index System. Agents were able to identify the man as a Mexican citizen present in the United States illegally, and were able to confirm his status as an active gang member. The man confirmed the information and admitted that he entered the United States illegally intending to rejoin his gang in Los Angeles.

The cases of the two men arrested yesterday are evidence of the effectiveness of coordinated border security operations supported by effective tools and technologies. With the assistance of advanced fingerprint technology, agents can identify individuals with criminal histories in the United States and prevent the entry of convicted felons. Violent criminals will often attempt to re-enter the United States, but continue to encounter pronounced enforcement efforts by Customs and Border Protection.

The individuals are pending Removal Proceedings and have been referred for prosecution.

The ACLU and other open borders and anti-law terrorist organizations wil defend what they say is their right to murder, rape, steal American's identities and commit other crimes. My bet is they will be back in LA by suppertime when Villalareconquista will give them the keys to the city.
There is no freedom without the law. Remember our veterans whose sacrifices allow us to live in freedom.

That's only the ones they catch. How many don't get caught?
