Infowars reporters were detained and disarmed by federal agents Wednesday while reporting near the Texas-Mexico border.

Following the encounter, Infowars Joe Biggs explained how he and Michael Zimmermann were disarmed after the pair were taken into custody alongside fellow reporter Alejanda.

“We just got out of federal custody… we’ve been there for 2 hours,” Biggs said.

Despite previously getting approval from both border patrol and law enforcement to be in the area, federal wildlife officers ordered the crew to put their hands up after encountering them filming a report.

After being questioned for hours, Biggs and Zimmermann were told by federal officers that they would need to pay $230 each in order to receive their firearms back.

Only hours earlier an entirely separate law enforcement group told the reporters that they would have to leave a different part of the border as well.

When it comes to reporting and news, Alex Jones and his Info Warriors are not the most respected journalists in America. Often focusing on conspiracy theories and fringe news, Alex Jones has somewhat of a bad reputation.

That doesn’t mean that he is wrong.

When Alex sent some reporters to our southern border, he had hoped to get some footage of illegals just walking into America to prove is his point that the borders are wide open.

Instead of getting some good footage, the reporters were arrested and detained.

They were taken into federal custody after having permission by two other agencies working on the border.

The big question is why where they detained?

What is on the border that the feds don’t want us to see? If Alex Jones is right, then the government is facilitating an open border to receive as many migrants that arrive.

If the feds are right, they were just protecting the border.

The video highlights how little we actually know about our southern border. How many people are actually coming in and why is the information being kept from us?

There are reports that more people have already crossed into America through the southern border so far this year than all of last year.

Illegal immigration is a real problem. The scary thing is we may not know how big of a problem it really is, especially if reporters are being arrested.

Should we be surprised - been going on for 20 yrs. Any amnesty completes this gov't sanctioned takeover and ruination of our citizenry by hard core drugs that are enriching other countries - add the remittances from JOBS taken here too.

It is very hard to get info on this because the InfoWars article leaves out the county they were in and the nearest city or town.
Also, they weren't arrested, they were only detained.
If they were arrested they would have been taken to some jail to be booked and there would be more info available from their booking.
The article also does not give the name of the agency that detained them. Saying only 'federal wildlife officers".
The fine has to do with their firearms.
But information is lacking in all of the articles as to why or what the problems was.

And then there is misleading info like this.
The headline says "Texas State Police" but later it says "federal agents".
Texas state police are NOT federal agents.
