REPUBLICANS TO PUSH AMNESTY (Just like Obama)

Republicans to push amnesty (Jeb Bush, Ed Gillespie, Robert George, George P. Bush)

Peter Wallsten of the Wall Street Journal offers the misleading "GOP's Demographic Wager: Wooing Latino Candidates" (link). Much could be said about the false assumptions that Wallsten and those quoted make, but I'll save that for another time and just summarize who's involved:

Some high-profile Republicans are adopting a softer vocabulary on immigration and trying to recruit more Hispanic candidates, a response to the party's soul-searching about tactics that many strategists believe have alienated the country's fastest-growing voter bloc...

In Texas, George P Bush, the half Mexican-American son of former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, has founded Hispanic Republicans of Texas, a political action committee to promote Hispanics running for state and local offices...

Former Republican National Committee Chairman Ed Gillespie, who is coordinating some of the party's internal discussions, called the tandem effect of rising Hispanic population and dwindling Republican support an "untenable delta."

...The Latino Partnership for Conservative Principles, a group set up by Princeton University Professor Robert George, a leading intellectual voice among Christian conservatives, plans to spend at least $500,000 spread over a handful of races to help pro-immigration Republican candidates, according to Alfonso Aguilar, a former Bush administration immigration official who runs the group. A key position for the group, said Mr. Aguilar, is legalizing illegal workers...

Another GOP-affiliated group, the Hispanic Leadership Fund, plans to target about three races this year, supporting conservative Hispanic candidates and promoting other Republicans who back more liberal immigration laws.

(Rep. Tom Price of Georgia) said in an interview he began meeting with Hispanic groups in recent months to open a "line of communication so there is a reserve of trust." But he said he wasn't ready to talk about a path to legalization until he was convinced the U.S.-Mexico border is secured.

I thought conservatives have a fundamental belief in the rule of law? Or is there some sort of exemption to that principle if you're a latino conservative group?

Oh, pudding (mild due to the unallowable really bad cuss words I am capable of.)
These parties are losing their pants with their pandering, as if the American people are too stupid to realize what is going on. Okay, we did not graduate from Harvard or MIT, but we ain't as stupid as these folks think we are.

I think Republicans just need to stand up for our principles which from the day our party was formed are immigration controls, protected trade, individual liberty and worker's rights, regardless of what is or is not the "fastest growing ethnic group in the country". If Latinos are the "fastest growing ethnic group in the country", then it's because the growth of that group is from illegal immigration.

And I would like to remind the Republicans, that the "ethnic group" our party was formed to help were Black Americans who suffered involuntary entry into our country against their will and while a lot has been done by our party to help them and their descendants over the years, there is much more to do.

This Republican doesn't want to help or "woo" illegal aliens of any ethnic group from any nation at all to our party. "Latino" and "Hispanic" Americans are just Americans like everyone else and of course are welcome to our party if they stand for the principles of immigration controls, protected trade, individual liberty and worker's rights.

George P. Bush is the grandson of Bush 41.
He was the kid who gave the speech at the Republican Convention when Bush got the nomination.

He ended his speech with "VIVA LA RAZA".

. . . Other than being arrested at 18 for burglarizing the home of an ex-girlfriend, George P. Bush appears to have all the right credentials to carry the Bush legacy well into the future. While family members often refer to the former presidents Bush as "41" and "43," the Washington Post says that some close to the family have taken to referring to George P. Bush as "47," so it's probably safe to assume that those inside the family see him as a potential future Bush torchbearer just as many outside the family do. Could a possible Bush vs. Biden matchup be in the works for 2020 or 2024, with George P. Bush taking on Beau Biden, the attorney general of Delaware and son of the current vice president who also served in Iraq? In some circles, it may not be too early to speculate.

Exactly Judy! And if that hispanic growth is not from illegal immigration, then why seemingly, are latinos being given preferential treatment in repspect to legal immigration into this country,

I think we have a right to demand why this group is achieving such a rapid growth in this country, when all other groups have not been mentioned as experiencing such explosive growth.

This was when the then kid gave his speach:

Grampa Bush: One of the "little brown ones"

When George P. Bush stepped into the GOP "convention limelight" in 2000, it was not for the first time, Mike Ferullo wrote August 4, 2000, for CNN. "'P' stepped onto the national scene at the 1988 Republican National convention -- where his grandfather George Bush was nominated president -- by leading the pledge of allegiance during the third day of the New Orleans gathering. ...

"It was during that same convention, that the elder Bush created a minor stir when he pointed out George P. and his siblings to President Reagan and his wife Nancy as 'the little brown ones'," Ferullo wrote.

Yes, and Republicans who give to the Republican Party through the RNC need to demand that the money be spent to pursue votes without regard to race, color, or ethnic origin. After all, the Republican Party is responsible for the 15th Amendment to the US Constitution which states for the record:

    "15th Amendment
    "Amendment XV
    "Section 1.

"The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any state on account of race, color, or previous condition of servitude."

    ______________

This means, every vote is as important as any other vote and we don't "woo" by race, color or ethnic origin. Period.
