I'm confused. Is this program going to focus on issues that are only affecting hispanics? I mean, isn't everyone in the country going through the same thing? Why are hispanics targeted as a "special" group?

If it's all about illegal aliens, I am offended. I am hispanic and I am NOT, nor have I ever been, an illegal alien!

No wonder everyone assumes all hispanics are illegal aliens - programs like this and the drivel from "advocates" like laraza!

miguelina, I doubt NBC will acknowledge there is a difference between LEGAL immigrants of Hispanic descent/AMERICANS with Hispanic ancestors vs. ILLEGAL ALIENS of Hispanic descent.

If NBC wanted to do an UNBIASED piece of programming, they would not limit themselves to a show based on hard times hispanics are having. They would do a show about hard times AMERICANS are having during this meltdown in the economy.

I cannot stand it when they highlight a "successful" Hispanic as one who, like Flores was brought up by field workers from across the border .....if they are talking about her being an anchor baby...then it is no bade of honor for ANY American to flout one's success based on a pattern and practice of lies, violations of law and deceit.

Uhhh... how about not watching?? Just a thought.

Anyways, they did this one special on CNN called "Blacks in America" and it was a very interesting an informative program giving its viewers an insight into the hardships many Blacks face here in this country. I'm not Black but I do enjoy learning about the various minority groups in this great country and what it's like being in their shoes. I'll be sure to watch this one on Hispanics. Hopefully one day they do one on Whites too since they're also a very fascinating and diverse group of people.

Uhhhh...thanks for suggesting that. Maybe I won't. Gee, I would have never thought of that on my own.

If you want to spend your time watching them pander to a certain group then by all means go ahead, but don't talk down to me because I choose not to.

I DITTO too. Why even have a program that deals with just Hispanics when all Americans are going through the same things? Unless of course its all about illegal aliens who have caused our economic problems to begin with.

I've seen you get smart with at least two people on this site in the same number of days. Are you sure you're not a troll? I'm starting to wonder. Do you have anything nice to say??
