Rick Scott Calls For DACA Fix, 'Path to Stay Here'

Sen. Rick Scott, R-Fla., indicated Thursday he supports providing a pathway for Dreamers to stay in the United States on a permanent basis.

The former Florida governor was on CNBC's "Squawk Box" and made the remark.

"Why don't we make sure they have a path to stay here?

We have a lot of people here from other countries under a temporary protective program," he said. "Why don't we have a permanent solution for that?"

An estimated 800,000 people who came to the U.S. illegally as children with their parents are currently allowed to stay in the country under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. The program was phased out by the Trump administration last year but is still in effect as the court system sorts out the matter.


Democrats and Republicans have called for Congress to institute a permanent fix to the DACA issue to prevent Dreamers from being deported.

Why don't you swamp rats terminate and defund all refugee, asylum, TPS and illegal programs!

Why are you advocating for them to stay? They can go Dream on their soil.

Shut up, Rick Scott, you did enough damage to our country when you voted "yea" on the 2019 DHS funding bill!

Florida is FULL of illegal aliens, Medicaid fraud, identity theft, pharmaceutical fraud, illegal drugs, TPS, poverty and run down rural cities!

Rick Scott should be more concerned about deporting the thousands of people out of his state and OFF our soil and start creating a better quality of life for LEGAL U.S. Citizens in his communities!

Shut down the foreigners coming to Florida to give birth to anchor babies too!

Disneyland firing American's to bring in their CHEAP foreign visa labor!

What about the massive voter fraud Rick Scott?

Stop concerning yourself with foreigners who have NO right to be in our country and start cleaning up your damn State!

What is the cost to taxpayers for your DACA, your illegals, TPS, Haitian's, Cuban's and all the people from around to world who are in Florida? Get them OUT!
