June 24, 2013 – US restrains 1909 Pablo Picasso painting valued at $11.5 million

The Department of Justice today restrained the 1909 Pablo Picasso painting "Compotier et tasse" – estimated to be worth $11.5 million – on behalf of the Italian government. This action follows an investigation by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI). Full Story
June 26, 2013 – ICE deports Filipino convicted in scheme to buy military aircraft parts for Iran

A Filipino national who pleaded guilty last year to federal charges arising from his role in a scheme to illegally export military aircraft parts from the U.S. to Iran was removed to the Philippines June 26 by officers from ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO). Full Story
June 26, 2013 – ICE removes Mexican homicide, torture suspect

A Mexican man wanted in his native country on murder and torture charges was turned over to Mexican law enforcement authorities at the Dennis DeConcini port of entry June 21 by ERO officers. Full Story
June 27, 2013 – US, Mexican authorities shut down smuggling tunnel under construction in Nogales

U.S. and Mexican authorities shut down an incomplete cross-border drug smuggling tunnel following its discovery June 25 during a routine, bi-national inspection of the city’s main storm drain system. The inspection was conducted by HSI-led Nogales Tunnel Task Force and U.S. Border Patrol, in partnership with Mexican federal police. Full Story
June 27, 2013 – ICE Dallas office deports man wanted for human trafficking in El Salvador

A man from El Salvador, who is wanted in his home country for human trafficking, was deported and turned over to Salvadoran law enforcement authorities June 24 by ERO officers. Full Story
