Russellville Man Accused of Sexually Abusing Child

RUSSELLVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – Franklin County authorities have arrested a man accused of sexually abusing a child under the age of 12.

According to Sheriff Shannon Oliver, 41-year-old Pedro Rocha was arrested after investigators say he molested the daughter of a family friend.

Investigators say the Russellville man would make the girl watch pornography while he touched the girl inappropriately.

Authorities believe the abuse had been going on since August of 2013.

Rocha is being held without bond for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents because they believe he is in the U.S. illegally.
