Most people don't know that back in 1912, Hellmann's mayonnaise was
manufactured in England . In fact, the Titanic was carrying 12,000 jars
of the condiment scheduled for delivery in Vera Cruz, Mexico , which was
to be the next port of call for the great ship after its stop in New York .
This would have been the largest single shipment of mayonnaise ever
delivered to Mexico . But as we know, the great ship did not make it to
    New York .
The ship hit an iceberg and sank, and the cargo was forever lost.
The people of Mexico , who were crazy about mayonnaise, and were eagerly
awaiting its delivery, were disconsolate at the loss. Their anguish was
so great, that they declared a National Day of Mourning, which they
    still observe to this day.
The National Day of Mourning occurs each year on May 5th and is known,
of course, as Sinko De Mayo.

respect and with every purpose of your will thoroughly Americans. You
cannot become thoroughly Americans if you think of yourselves in groups. President Woodrow Wilson

Where is the ACLU? I don't see them threatening a lawsuit in this case. Someone needs to step up and fight for justice for these kids.

I'm offended that they have the nerve to be "offended" by someone wearing an American flag. Geesh! Irony is completely lost on these people.

Mexican-'American' Students Walk Out In Protest Of Students Who Wore American Flag Shirts [Update]
    By Digger

Yesterday, five Live Oak High School students were sent home for wearing clothes with the American flag on it, while hundreds who wore Mexican flag apparel, colors and face paintings were allowed to remain in school.
I can't believe I'm actually writing this, but...

Today, a group of students who are "Mexican-American" walked out in protest of the five students who they say "offended them" by wearing the American Flag clothes yesterday on Cinco de Mayo. They held a small rally at the Morgan Hill Civic Center and demanded to see the Mayor.

Absolutely mind boggling. These students show that they owe more loyalty to a corrupt country south of our border who has done nothing for them, than they do for a country that has provided them opportunity and education. Their families left Mexico because the country did not offer them any opportunity, yet they find it offensive that students in this country would dare wear an American Flag shirt or have any pride in the United States of America.

All of this stems from the parents and the community they self-segregate themselves in. This community teaches them to think "Mexico First". The Constitution of the United States does not exist in their eyes, only their wants, needs and demands based on their race and ethnicity - and damn all the other people who live in this country!

I would never let my daughter dress this way for school. What happened to those "good family values" Bush used to talk about It certainly isnt here.
