Graham, Conley differ on economy
Incumbent senator more optimistic on financial situation during debate
By WAYNE WASHINGTON
U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham and his Democratic opponent sparred in a debate Saturday night that highlighted concerns about the nation’s troubled economy and underscored the distance between each man and his party on some fundamental issues.
In trying to unseat Graham and pull off what would be one of the nation’s biggest political upsets this fall, Bob Conley — a 43-year-old engineer and professional pilot from Myrtle Beach — attempted to tie Graham to a trio of unpopular policy positions: the financial bailout passed by Congress, the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and an immigration policy that includes a path to citizenship for some illegal immigrants.

McCain and Graham are the same when it comes to Blanket Amnesty for the ILLEGALS in support of their Political Contributors and their Special Interest Groups. Good Reason to Keep Both OUT of Office.

Thanks for the article. I get my hackles up when they call it "a path to citizenship" instead of amnesty."Always vote for principle, though you may vote alone, and you may cherish the sweetest reflection that your vote is never lost." -- John Quincy Adams

I already donated twice. I don't even live there but Graham needs to go. http://aimhighwithbob.com/ - there is a page to print out if you want to mail a check, so I didn't just copy the address. He really needs the money - Graham has a lot of corporate contributions to compete with.

He reiterated his support for an immigration policy that includes a path to citizenship. And he said the bailout, which some conservatives decry as a socialistic intervention into the private market, is critical to the nation’s fiscal health. ----------------------------------------------------------------
This bailout and amnesty bullcrap is their answer for the insane policies they have been shoving down our throats and it is most definitely going to come back and haunt them bigtime. This country belongs to 300 million American citizens and not to a few hundred self-centered jerks who believe that their individual power outweighs the power of the US Constitution.
Most Democrats will vote the party ticket and we need for Republicans like myself and Independents to cross over and vote for one man that wants to represent the citizens of South Carolina instead of a jerk that wants to continue us on a path to oblivion.

And if they were really interested in fixing America's financial problems, then the guys that caused it would be in handcuffs and leg irons instead of relaxing at a spa for half a million dollars that we paid for.
