Two boats carrying 21 illegal immigrants were intercepted off the San Diego County coast, U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials said Monday.

The first was an 18-foot Bayliner motorboat spotted crossing into United States waters about 4 p.m. Saturday. Agents checked the vessel and found the two women and six men aboard, all from Mexico, did not have documents to legally enter the country, officials said.

The second interception occurred about 2 p.m. Sunday when agents spotted a 22-foot Cobalt motorboat with 13 people docked at a marina in Oceanside Harbor. Two men were identified as smugglers, while two women and six men from Mexico and another two women and a man from Bolivia were found to be in the country illegally, officials said.

All of the illegal immigrants were handed over to the Border Patrol and are expected to be deported.
