SAN DIEGO — A 21-year-old woman who said she was the victim of a sexual assault was found walking along a freeway Thursday night.

The woman, who was not wearing any clothes, was spotted about 8:30 p.m. on southbound state Route 125 just north of state Route 54, San Diego police said.

She was described as distraught and incoherent and it appeared she had been beaten up, police said.

She told officers the incident started earlier in the evening on Snowdrop Street in City Heights. Investigators do not believe she was kidnapped, police said.

Authorities are looking for a late model, white four-door SUV that was seen on the side of the freeway.
