MIAMI (CBSMiami) — Migrants arrived near the exclusive Fisher Island Friday morning.

The group of around nine, mixed nationalities, seemed to have arrived in a Donzi speedboat around 8 a.m.

Chopper4 was over the scene as the Donzi was spotted half-submerged in the water near the entrance of government cut.

It reportedly capsized.

The group could be seen sitting on a pathway on the island with zip ties around their wrists as U.S. Coast Guard and Miami-Dade Fire crews stood near them.

One woman was seen being put into handcuffs. At some point, three women and three men were led off by U.S. Border Patrol agents.

According to U.S. Border Patrol, there are no migrants from the group that are missing.

U.S. Border Patrol is calling this a “potential maritime smuggling event.” Authorities say three of the migrants are from Brazil while the other six are from China.

It remains unclear where the boat departed from. Border Patrol agents are investigating the matter.
