E-mail sent to Horry-Georgetown Technical College:

    William G Thompson
    VP Student Affairs Office

    Dear Mr. Thompson:

I am pleased to see that you have begun denying admission to illegal aliens. The statements I hear from the advocates for illegal aliens in our colleges are alarming. They seem to flow around the claim that better educated illegals will be more productive and will assimilate better into our society. This is not only fuzzy thinking, it is faulty logic. It’s very precept is that the illegal gets additional benefits to what they have already enjoyed by illegally remaining and operating here and gives a segment of them what they want – unfettered access to our higher education system (in addition to our primary education system that they have already utilized). This, of course, will be costly to the American taxpayer whether the illegal pays out of state tuition or not. It also deprives a deserving citizen or legal immigrant of the seat that the illegal would occupy. Another marketing campaign is that a child should not be penalized because of the ‘sins’ of their parents. Allowing access to higher education, however, allows the child to benefit from the fact their parents broke the law. Where does the rule of law fit into all of this? Actually, no where. The very act of allowing placement of an illegal alien into our colleges tears at the social fabric of our culture by favoritism to a group people who are out of compliance with our laws. These very same people would then be free to operate lawlessly living and working alongside of citizens and legal immigrants who have been required to abide by our laws. The dichotomy here is not only egregious, it is outrageous. It is anarchy.

Seats in colleges are a limited and highly coveted resource so why should we put an illegal alien into one?

Why should we be in the business of further educating and training a group of people who are illegally here and cannot legally be employed?

Again, I commend you on doing what is lawful and in the best interests of American citizens and legal immigrants by denying admittance to illegal aliens.

    Sincerely,

"I don't mind going back if they make me," Rodrigues said with a note of resignation. "But I think it's sad that they prefer uneducated illegal immigrants to educated illegal immigrants."

WE DON'T PREFER ANY OF THEM...THEY ARE ILLEGAL AND SHOULD BE CUT OFF ALL BENEFITS SO THEY WILL SELF DEPORT!!!!!! INCLUDING EDUCATION! AT ALL LEVELS!!!!!!!! THEY ARE ILLEGAL!!!!!!

These people are ILLEGAL!! If their parents disobeyed the law and came here ...THEN THEY KNEW IT WAS ILLEGAL TO DO SO!! So because their parents BROKE THE LAW... their children should be allowed to do so also??!!! They are illegal...we should NOT even be having a DEBATE ABOUT ANY OF THIS. The law says they are to be deported... our government has been bought and paid for and all that are TRAITORS should be thrown out !! We have continually re elected these TRAITORS to do more and more damage. I hope we have awakened ENOUGH to so something about it this time. We need to show these people ....ALL OF THEM... our corrupt elected officials, open borders crowds and this worthless president and his administration ...that we mean business.
When we start throwing some of these TRAITORS OUT...THEN THEY WILL BELIEVE US!!!!!!
Please help save America for our children and grandchildren... they are counting on us. THEY DESERVE the goodness of AMERICA not to be given to those who are stealing our children's future! ... and a congress who works for THEM!

Also, why would any legislator allow an illegal alien to take a seat in college from a deserving American citizen or legal immigrant? Seats in colleges are a limited and highly coveted resource, why the hell would you put an illegal alien into one?

AMEN BROTHER!!! IF THE LIBERAL DEMOCRATS AND OTHER BRAINLESS PUPPETS LOVE SOCIALISM SO MUCH THEY SHOULD MOVE TO A SOCIALIST COUNTRY AND PRACTICE THEIR CRAFT THERE AND STOP USING OUR COUNTRY FOR THEIR AGENDAS! BUT NO, THAT WOULD BE MUCH TOO INCONVENIENT AND IT MIGHT COST THEM SOMETHING!!!

One of the main arguments for denying illegal immigrant students access to our Universities is that the whole process simply encourages even more illegal immigration.

Let's say that a Mexican husband and wife live with their 5 small and teenage children in Mexico. The husband remarks to his wife that he is thinking of coming to the US illegally, so that he can get a construction job, and then wire back some money to support wife and kids.

Now let’s say that some US state colleges and universities change their minds, and allow some illegal immigrant students to attend college.

The situation of this large Mexican family will change. Now, suddenly, there is supreme motivation for this husband to smuggle his whole family into the US. Both the husband and wife will secure jobs, which might displace American workers, and their children will eventually be able to go to college, which might displace American students. These illegal students might even get to pay just the cheaper, in-state tuition.

Instead of accommodating illegal immigration, our government should keep on trying to eradicate it.

    SC: Colleges

My all American kid got straight A's all thru high school. Was on the Honor society. This does not entitle her to violate the law and pay less tuition than anyone else.
When the Court ruled that Foreign born students must be educated at American taxpayer expense, there was a clause to protect taxpayers. It said that if the education of illegal immigrants became a burden to taxpayers, it could be challenged. This is what needs to happen.
Now that we have educated millions of foreign students, they want more. They want to be lawyers and change our laws to be even more favorable toward the undocumented. They want to be politicians and lobbyists. They want to lead groups like La Raza. Many favor the Socialist agenda.
They want to help more illegal immigrants to come here and take jobs, education, healthcare, and Social Security from those who have paid taxes their whole lives.

Please tell me what good a college degree is when you have no RIGHT TO WORK in this country. OH, I get it.....when hundreds of these kids graduate from college, they will then cry about not being able to work to support their families. The hard hearted American people will be forced, once again, to change the law to accommodate those who broke our trust and our law to come here.
