Señor Sen. Jon Kyl..AZ.. beware for amnesty op/ed

    http://www.sonorannews.com/my_view.html

    Señor Sen. Jon Kyl

Below is Sen. John Kyl’s latest missive concerning border protection.

In general, I have always liked Jon Kyl’s politics. Unlike his colleague Sen. John McCain, who traffics with the Democrats, kisses the tails of the liberal media, tramples on our first and second amendment rights, while still taking questionable political contributions.

    In a word: hypocrite.

In the areas where McCain is deficient, Kyl shines.

With a single exception: illegal aliens.

At least Kyl calls them illegal aliens, rather than undocumented immigrants, or migrants or some other inaccurate, cuddly, word or phrase.

But he still swallows President George Bush’s quest for an amnesty program. Perhaps Kyl likes the White House parties and doesn’t want to rile Bush’s political hatchet man, Karl Rove.

The word was on the street that Kyl was angry about a Tribune editorial written by veteran editorial writer Mark Flatten and published on March 31.
The Headline read, “Kyl: Time to give amnesty to illegals, then move on.

The article, which was derived from Kyl’s meeting with the Tribune’s editorial board, began with, “American’s need to accept some type of amnesty for illegal immigrants living in the United States in return for tougher border enforcement and reforms in Federal law, Sen. John Kyl, Rep–Ariz, said Wednesday.

This was not a direct quote, but Flatten’s interpretation of Kyl’s discussion. Compare it with quoted statements later

First of all Federal law is fine as it is, no reform is needed. The law needs to be enforced and the Bush administration is culpable of high crimes and misdemeanors for their unwillingness to enforce federal statutes.
Kyl said, “Politically, we have to have a means to accommodate those here illegally Kyl said during a meeting with the Tribune’s editorial board. “It is too bad that we have allowed 11 million (immigrants) to be here but we have to deal with that reality.

Sounds like amnesty to me, it is right out of Bush’s playbook and patriot Colo. Congressman Tom Tancredo has labeled it,“Amnesty lite.
How can Kyl claim. he didn’t use the A word, when he met with the editorial board, not just Flatten?

But even if he didn’t say “amnesty he certainly described amnesty with his solutions. Would I take Flatten’s word over a U.S Senator?

    In a heartbeat.

It is noteworthy in Kyl’s guest column, below, that he brags of Phase II’s high tech solutions, new aircraft and more border patrols. He scoffs at the “Minutemen, patriots who have taken time, spent money and are taking risk to do something our government won’t do.

I have news for Sen. Kyl. He is in a vanishing minority and may well be the victim of single issue voting if he doesn’t change his, “support the administration approach.

    It is indefensible.

Kyl was a vocal critic of Prop. 200, and even bragged that had the Prop. 200 supporters asked him he could have showed them the Proposition was flawed, and he could have advised them about where and how.

How wrong he was and how wrong he is to suggest amnesty.

Further, he and his ilk keep neglecting two vital issues.

The first is the magnet that draws illegals here – jobs. Jobs, which they take illegally under current law.

Despite a few high profile hits for publicity, ICE lets people hire illegals with abandon. Look up and down the streets of Cave Creek and multiply that by tens of thousands across the nation.

How about serious jail time and fines for those who hire illegals? Town by town, city by city, arrest not only the illegals, but their sponsors, mentors and employers, including the churches that are in gross violation of federal laws.

No one wants to touch these violations of law. Why? Oh my God, PROFILING, that evil non-politically correct approach to law enforcement.
A drag net on the streets of Cave Creek would result in perhaps five-dozen illegal alien arrests. Check out restaurants and landscape companies and several hundred more would be in the paddy wagon on their way to deportation.

City by city, town by town.

The rave of some people, our congressional delegation and our socialist governor, is to get federal funds to offset the huge bill for jailing illegals, feeding them and healing them.

And whose funds are those? Our tax dollars. And that is a political win?
    Get real, politicians.

The last part of Kyl’s polemic is spectacular!

Finally, calling Vicente Fox what he is and what he stands for is long overdue and up to this time, in this state, only Congressman J.D Hayworth has had the stones to tell Mexico to stay the hell out of our business and off our turf.

Imagine Mexican senators coming to Arizona to protest Prop. 200. They should have been met with a cold shoulder by any and every patriotic American. Let them go home empty handed to their third-world corrupt nation.

Of course, we have the Ben Miranda’s of the state, which serve their constituencies as if they are in Mexico. His propensity for calling everyone racist, except himself, is a reflection of his true nature – a bigot and racist.
But wait! After chatting with Mark Flatten, he made me aware of Kyl’s answer to his column, printed in the “Perspective section of Sunday’s Tribune. Headline?

“Amnesty for illegals? I say “No.

Kyl, said, “Fortunately, the news story under the unfortunate headline helped make that clear, and Karen Wittmer, CEO and Publisher, agrees the headline inaccurately portrayed the views I expressed to the Tribune on Wednesday.

    Uh Huh.

I know and respect Karen Wittmer, but I agree with Flatten’s headline.
Here is the quote again: “Politically, we have to have a means to accommodate those here illegally Kyl said during a meeting with the Tribune’s editorial board. “It is too bad that we have allowed 11 million (immigrants) to be here but we have to deal with that reality.
The means is deportation, Jon, nothing less, no matter how hard or how long it takes.

And in the meanwhile, put up a fence, a high fence on the border. Post armed troops and shoot anyone who is athletic enough to scale it.
