Four suspected kingpins of a heroin and cocaine ring have been indicted on allegations of bringing $150,000 a month worth of illegal drugs into the Denver area, authorities said.

The Denver grand jury indictment, unsealed Wednesday, named the ringleaders as Jonathan Huerta-Zepeda, 19, Jose Manuel Orozco-Ramirez, 30, and Alejandro Orozco-Asuna, who are in custody, and Jose Guadalupe Orozco-Ramirez, 23, who is still being sought, authorities said.

Each man is charged with one count of racketeering in addition to other charges involving the sale of large amounts of "Mexican brown" heroin and cocaine to undercover officers.

The suspects, who are from Mexico, have been in the United States illegally.

During the 10-month investigation, the group was bringing in 2 pounds of cocaine and 2 pounds of heroin a month into the metro area, said Lynn Kimbrough, spokeswoman for the Denver district attorney's office.
Seven other people also were indicted. They face charges of conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance and other charges.
