CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

It was a rude awakening for residents in a Calallen neighborhood Monday night as a high speed crash came to crashing end.

"Everything can be replaced, and no one got hurt," said Robert Funderberg, whose home was damaged as a result of the crash.

It happened around 11:30 p.m. Monday on the 1300 block of Deepwater Circle.

The chase began at Labonte Park, and ended with a van crashing in someone's backyard. Officials said that up to 10 illegal immigrants fled from the vehicle.

"I think it's getting out of control," said Kim Martin, a resident of the neighborhood where the crash occurred. "They need to do better at catching these people before they come into our neighborhoods."

Officials were able to turn over three illegal immigrants to U.S. Border Patrol agents. They believe seven got away.
