    Will America survive DACA?

    Will America survive DACA?

There isn't an American citizen who possesses at least a modicum of knowledge who hasn't heard politicians demand for "Comprehensive immigration reform." It sounds reasonable enough until the details are brought to light. For instance, Hillary Clinton vigorously campaigned on promoting mass immigration and more astonishing, a policy of no deportations of any person in our country illegally. She learned from the election the American Citizenry didn't agree with her on either point except a segment of our population who truly didn't understand the ramifications of those policies. Today we see many of those individuals protesting with signs demanding continued use of Obama's irresponsible and unconstitutional edict of "Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals." Simply put, DACA was created through a 2012 executive order by President Obama which is counter to our Constitution because only Congress is empowered to establish "A uniform Rule of Naturalization." Those wishing to sign with DACA must have been brought here illegally as children and have arrived before 2007 and under the age of 16 to qualify. After signing into DACA their status had to be renewed every two years. DACA basically allowed these illegal aliens to remain in our country for two years without fear of deportation. Additionally, they were permitted to obtain jobs and eventually become citizens. After the election President Trump announced he would rescind the DACA program because of its unconstitutionality. He gave Congress six months to write legislation to correct the problem with DACA and those who signed onto it.

There is an important distinction between how Liberals and Conservatives think in regards to immigration. The Liberals verbally and by their actions believe America isn't exceptional and like other countries that can and will accept anyone. The majority of Americans of course disagree. The factors involved in this tug of war are quite simple. President Obama made it clear when he referred to himself as "a citizen of the world" or "Globalist." Even his use of the word "citizen" backed him into a corner since "Citizen and City" is derived from the same Greek root word "citizenship" meaning that a person belongs to a "political community."

Our founding fathers couldn't have made it any clearer we were to live in an exceptional nation. In the opening sentence of our Declaration of Independence the founders wrote it has become necessary for "one people to dissolve the political bonds that tie them together." Note that it says one people, not any one, not all people, or not citizens of the world. The Constitution speaks of immigration with instructions for Congress to establish a "Uniform Rule of Naturalization." The greatness of our exceptional country is boundless for those who seek it, but invisible to those who are "Globalists" or "Citizens of the World." The most cogent comment on this topic came from James Madison when in 1790 he said to the House of Representatives, "It is no doubt very desirable that we should hold out as many inducements as possible for the "worthy" part of mankind to come and settle amongst us, and throw their fortunes into a common lot with ours."

The "Globalists" aka "Leftists" and naïve protesters demanding immediate citizenship for DACA recipients are standing on weak legs. For Instance they say "The recipients of DACA are children." Wrong, those eligible for DACA must be between the ages of 15 and 32 years; hardly children!

Again, "It is our nation's fault and not that of the children's to be in this situation." Wrong again, it's the parent's fault by coming into our country as illegal aliens and thus causing their children to become illegal aliens as well.

"They take jobs Americans won't do." Again wrong, millions are building our homes, doing our landscaping, and working in our stores, hotels and factories legally. The real damage is to the blue collar worker. It's not well known that our government hands out two thirds of our green cards to relatives of aliens living here that causes years of backlog for those who almost certainly have greater skills to offer our country! The 800,000 DACA "dreamers" had a two year safety net to take jobs usually open to Americans, but that will be ending soon and jobs may return to our own citizens.

"They are criminals." Wrong, but for a unique reason. Over the last five years only 2,140 DACA recipients have been dropped from their amnesty because of illegal activities caused by a very poor screening process. Presently the Illegal aliens under the age of DACA's entry requirement commit untold numbers of crimes.

A horrific disaster was created in 1965 by President Johnson. He signed a bill called the Hart-Celler Act which removed all quotas for immigrants coming here from any country. It lacked both qualifications and numbers of applicants. Johnson said, "This bill that we will sign today is not a revolutionary bill. It does not affect the lives of millions. It will not reshape the structure of our daily lives, or really add importantly to either our wealth or our power." Ted Kennedy agreed by saying, "First, our cities will not be flooded with a million immigrants annually. Under the proposed bill, the present level of immigration remains substantially the same ... Secondly; the ethnic mix of this country will not be upset. Contrary to the charges in some quarters it will not inundate America with immigrants from any one country or area, or the most populated and economically deprived nations of Africa and Asia." Few apparently listened to William Miller, VP candidate at the time who felt differently. He said, "We estimate that if the President gets his way and the current immigration laws are repealed, the number of immigrants next year will increase threefold and in subsequent years will increase even more."

I firmly believe our magnificent country will continue to crumble into mediocrity unless major changes to our immigration policies are made soon. DACA was terminated by President Trump but he has stated he doesn't want these individuals to be deported and will work to make sure they won't. He provided a six month reprieve providing ample time for Congress to act. Presently DACA consists of between 700,000 and 800,000 illegal aliens living in limbo but that number could climb to as many as 1.3 million. However, Chuck Schumer, the swamps bottom feeder, predicted two weeks ago that DACA dreamers will get permanent legal status in the end-of-the year spending deal on which Congress is working. Threateningly he continued by saying President Trump will "have to sign it." The Hart-Celler Act of 1965 would pale by comparison if the present Democrat leadership gets their way and allows continuation of "Chain Migration".

With that threat we must not grant citizenship without safety contingencies as we have done in the past. By giving citizenship to the 800,000 stranded DACA illegal aliens it would have the effect of legalization through "chain migration" not only for their parents but quite possibly their siblings and spouses. It would then continue on to a second and third "chain migration" those people would create. It would never stop and without a doubt that would be a disaster of a magnitude beyond our control. Besides making sensible and humane cuts in "chain migration," restructuring the corrupt and damaged Green Card system is paramount. With those changes, and others, immigrants who are qualified can improve their lives and benefit our country as well. However, before anything else, the horrible disaster of chain migration must be completely eliminated or other remedies will be worthless.

There is legislation already in process by several Republican Congressmen which will address the catastrophic use of "chain migration" and immigration reform.

So the question must be asked, are we nearing the time when our country will become the last ripples of a once giant wave? We will know within months.

We would not survive DACA due to the fact that it would not be limited to a small group of the tens of millions of illegal aliens. This group, the so called "dreamers" are the most problematic for our nation. Where is the end to birthright citizenship. The White House is mum on that.

A DACA carve out is for a largely rude, demanding group of activists against America's laws, supporters of no borders, refugee influx, liberal immigration policies. And with their fists raised high they shout, "No Wall."

The DACA organized groups lean socialists and they are a a solid democratic voting bloc. They will continue to take from Americans and be favored over citizens in jobs, education, benefits. They will receive taxpayer dollars and IRS refunds.

    No amnesty.

No, America will not survive "DACA". Our country can not survive illegal immigration of any kind on any level. Our people can not take care of or absorb illegal aliens. 40 years, 4 decades of experience with this invasion, proves this beyond any doubt at all. There can be no forgiveness, no deferral, no amnesty, no legalization, no exemptions, no excuses, no mercy of any kind for this trampling on and invading of our nation and the theft from and harm to our people.

It has to end and end now. All of it. Period.
