Seven accused of making fake IDs
From Staff Reports

A federal grand jury indicted seven men who they think ran a sophisticated counterfeit identification ring, prosecutors said Thursday.

Indicted were: Alejandro "Yuca" Izalde-Petris, 32; Juan Jose "Chino" Paz-Mireles, 28; Edgar Hugo "Frodo" Campos-Escalante, 27; Santiago Casmiro "Konan" Lopez, 29; Carlos "Chicara" Olade-Espindola, 19; Fernando "Lag" Munoz-Rosas, 33; and Luis Manuel Gonzalez-Medina, 22, according to the indictment. All are charged with conspiring to produce and transfer false identification documents, according to a news release from the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of North Carolina.

The men are accused of making fake driver's licenses and Social Security cards for recent immigrants.
