PHOENIX -- A new movie has been released about illegal immigration and focuses partly on how the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office handles it.

But Sheriff Joe Arpaio isn't giving the film a thumbs-up approval rating.

His office said the movie is "a very biased look" at the way MCSO enforces immigration laws in Arizona.

Phoenix TV station KTVK reported that Arpaio's office cooperated with filmmakers during production.

The movie "2 Americans" was screened Wednesday night in Phoenix.

It focuses partly on Arpaio and partly on a 9-year-old girl whose parents were arrested during an immigration raid.

Producers said they gave each side equal time, but their goal was to show the impact the current laws have on families with members in the U.S. illegally.
