Franklin, File16 Jul 201810Joe Arpaio, the former Sheriff of Maricopa County, Arizona revealed that if he wins the U.S. Senate race in his state he would push for the deployment of the U.S. military inside Mexico to stop drugs, gangs and illegal aliens before they reach the American border.



Arpaio is running for the Republican nomination for the Arizona Senate seat that will be vacated by Sen. Jeff Flake. He spoke last night in an interview on this reporter’s talk radio program “Aaron Klein Investigative Radio,” broadcast on New York’s AM 970 The Answer and News Talk 990 AM in Philadelphia.


Unveiling part of his policy agenda, Arpaio explained his proposal to deploy U.S. troops inside Mexico:

My idea, which is maybe out of the box: Since we have agents that are government employees working with foreigners, why don’t we use another government agency that happens to be the U.S. Army and send them across the border to work with the foreign authorities, the Federales and the Mexican army? Not to invade Mexico.
We have been doing it anyway with other types of government employees so who is going to argue with this? Because something has to be done before the drugs come over the border. Stop it before it gets to the border. That is how you solve the problem.

Arpaio explained that Mexico would need to first agree to the deployment. He suggested that President Trump could use pressure tactics, such as withholding foreign aid, if Mexico resists.


He continued, “Just an idea and when I get to Washington if you don’t think I’m going to push that idea. Because it only makes sense. And I don’t know why they would turn it down since we have agents already there working side-by-side. What is wrong with the military? The helicopters? Go over the opium fields. And also get to the border.”


“We use the military everywhere else in the world, don’t we? OK. Why can’t we do it with our neighbors?” he asked.


Arpaio also said that if he wins he would open a Senate office at the U.S.-Mexico border. “It would be the Senate office,” he explained. “If you want to see me you will have to come down to the border.”

We don't NEED this. Just take away the freebies like free k-12 education for illegal kids and free health care at ERs for all illegals. Both these policies are already against the law since they encourage illegals to live here in violation of section 1324 of title 8 of the US code.

I am not for sending the military to Mexico, let Mexico fight their own drug problems. I am disgusted that we send our military all over the world but refuse to use them to protect our own border.

I am 100% for putting the military on our border to STOP both the illegals and the drugs pouring in.

I am all for cutting off the freebies also, but that will not stop the drug dealers. They are not coming in for the freebies.

This is an invasion and it will take fighting it on many fronts to stop it.

I'm for putting the military along our border. Whether on our side or Mexico's side, it would stop the drugs and illegal crossings. However, working with Mexican authorities, they could help wipe out the drug cartels in Mexico. That would go a long way to helping Mexico get rid of the corruption that seems to dominate that country. That would then help reduce the number of people wanting to come to the U.S.

Take away the freebies, no school and NO healthcare for illegal aliens.

Classify gang members as Domestic Terrorists WITH the death penalty.

NO rotting in prison on OUR dime for 30 years or more.

They need to execute these vermin...there are too many and they keep popping out more of them everyday like a Pez dispenser!

Get on birth control, out of poverty and OUT of crime!

Mexico would never allow us to send a branch of our military into their country. To think otherwise is a fantasy. DEA agents maybe, but not our military.

I don't really care much about the drug dealers. They are not destroying america. It's the 40 million "ordinary" illegals who come here and steal jobs and IDs and welfare and bankrupt our schools, hospitals, and prisons who are the problem.
