Lou’s new book INDEPENDENTS DAY is now on sale in bookstores

Lou issues a rallying cry to American citizens eager for a
change, focusing particularly on the critical issues and
challenges of the 2008 election.

Tonight, a federal judge intervened in the rising controversy
over the CIA's harsh interrogation methods. The judge wants to
know whether the government violated a ruling to preserve
videotapes showing some interrogations and ordered a hearing on
the case Friday. The Bush administration denies any wrongdoing,
but refuses to answer specific questions. We’ll have the latest
tonight.

The U.S.-Mexican border continues to be a hotbed of violence,
so much so that Border Patrol agents have reportedly had to use
tear gas to subdue attackers throwing bottles and rocks and
other items. We’ll have the story.

Yet another batch of toys currently on store shelves is laden
with dangerous chemicals, including lead, according to a new
report from a coalition of environmental groups. Tune in for
that story.

Illinois has temporarily backed down on the state law that
prohibits employers from using a federal database to check the
legality of workers. Join us for all the details.

The Chinese military has been linked to computer hacking of U.S
defense and military interests. Congress has passed legislation
requiring the Pentagon to report on China’s capabilities—but it
is enough, and how dangerous is this hacking to our country’s
security? We’ll have a special report.

And he largest business lobby in the country today said that
the U.S. is no where near a recession. But the U.S. Chamber of
Commerce position shows little regard for the negative economic
indicators this show has reported on. We’ll take a closer look.
