First Migrant Bus from Texas Arrives near U.S. Capitol in D.C.

A bus filled with migrants arrived in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday morning and unloaded blocks from the Capitol. The bus traveled from Texas under recent orders from Governor Greg Abbott.

The Texas Division of Emergency Management loaded migrants who volunteered to take the trip to D.C. earlier this week, Fox News reported. The migrants reportedly boarded in the Del Rio Border Patrol Sector.

“As the federal government continues to turn a blind eye to the border crisis, the State of Texas will remain steadfast in our efforts to fill in the gaps and keep Texans safe,” Governor Abbott said in a written statement.

“By busing migrants to Washington, D.C., the Biden Administration will be able to more immediately meet the needs of the people they are allowing to cross our border. Texas should not have to bear the burden of the Biden Administration’s failure to secure our border.”

Fox News reported the migrants are citizens of Colombia, Cuba, Nicaragua, and Venezuela. The group consisted of single adults and some family units.

Two men who appeared to be public officials screened the migrants as they unloaded. The officials scanned barcoded wristbands and then removed the bands before letting the migrants leave the scene.

The exact number of migrants released near the U.S. Capitol is not known at this time.

Governor Abbott’s office is expected to make an announcement later Wednesday morning.

On April 6, Gov. Abbott ordered the Texas Division of Emergency Management to prepare buses to transport DHS-released migrants on a voluntary basis from their drop-off location to Washington, D.C.

“To help local officials whose communities are being overwhelmed by hordes of illegal immigration who are being dropped off by the Biden Administration, Texas is providing charter buses to send these illegal immigrants who have been dropped off by the Biden Administration to Washington, D.C.,” Governor Abbott said during a press conference in Weslaco, Texas.

“We are taking them to the United States Capitol where the Biden Administration will be able to more immediately address the needs of the people that they are allowing to come across our border,” the governor added.

The first bus containing dozens of illegal immigrants arrived in Washington, D.C on Wednesday, dropping them off blocks away from the U.S Capitol one week after Governor Abbott’s announcement.

    Governor Abbott held a
press conference last week concerning Texas’ border security efforts in response to the Biden admin’s decision to drop Title 42 at the border on May 23.

Texas will begin to use charter buses to ship illegal immigrants to Washington, D.C., as part of Abbott’s strategy for the overwhelming influx of illegal immigrants.

“We are sending them to the United States Capitol, where the Biden administration will be able to more immediately address the needs of the people that they are allowing to come across our border,” Gov. Abbott announced.

Two days after his announcement, Texas has
begun dispatching buses to the southern border to transport the illegal immigrants to Washington D.C.

Today, dozen’s of illegal immigrants coming from Colombia, Cuba, Nicaragua, and Venezuela have dropped off blocks away from the U.S. Capitol.

    FOX News reported:

A bus from Texas arrived in Washington, D.C. Wednesday morning, transporting dozens of illegal immigrants as part of Texas Gov. Greg Abbott’s new plan to counter federal immigration policies during an ongoing border crisis.

The bus pulled up at approximately 8 a.m. local time, blocks away from the U.S. Capitol building. Fox News has learned that they came from the Del Rio sector in Texas, after coming to the U.S. from Colombia, Cuba, Nicaragua, and Venezuela.

Upon the bus’s arrival in Washington, D.C., individuals disembarked one by one except for family units who exited together. They checked in with officials and had wristbands they were wearing cut off before being told they could go.

Still, the governor’s legal authority to transport busloads of migrants to the U.S. Capitol remains in question.

    The 2012
Supreme Court case, Arizona v. the United States, prevents states from making their own immigration policies.

Newsmax Congressional Correspondent Kilmeny Duchardt interviewed ten young immigrants from Venezuela and asked them why they decided to volunteer.

“They said that they know that they are a prop in all of this, but they wanted to come anyway because this allows them to get a ticket to where they’re going. Some of these migrants told me that they want to go on to Miami. They said they are very excited to be here. They feel welcomed,” Duchardt reported.

Keep dropping them off 24/7, 365 days a year.

But unfortunately, this is costing taxpayers millions of dollars, out of our wallets, and they will not stay there!

Drop them off on the doorstep of the White House and start dropping busloads to Biden's house in Delaware.
