Mexico Planning To Send Another 12 Vehicle Convoy

Mexican Troops Enter U.S. to Bring Aid

LAREDO, Texas -- A Mexican army convoy of nearly 200 people crossed the border into the United States on Thursday to bring aid to victims of Hurricane Katrina, becoming the first Mexican military unit to operate on U.S. soil since 1846.

Mexico's first disaster aid mission to the United States was greeted at the border by dignitaries from both countries.

The unarmed soldiers, physicians, nurses and dentists aboard the convoy wore green uniforms with yellow armbands that said "Humanitarian Aid" in Spanish.
Daniel Hernandez Joseph, the Mexican consul in Laredo, said the cooperation was understandable since the United States has helped Mexico following natural disasters, including the Mexico City's earthquake in 1985.

"We know what it is like to be on the other side of this, because of that we are saying thank you by responding in kind," he said.

The convoy includes two mobile kitchens that can feed 7,000 people a day, three flatbed trucks carrying mobile water treatment plants and 15 trailers of bottled water, blankets and applesauce.

The Mexican government already was planning another 12-vehicle aid convoy for this week. It has sent a Mexican navy ship toward the Mississippi coast with rescue vehicles and helicopters.

Mexico has sent disaster relief aid missions to other Latin American nations, but not to the United States.

In 1846, Mexican troops briefly advanced just north of the Rio Grande in Texas, which had then recently joined the United States. Mexico, however, did not then recognize the Rio Grande as the U.S. border.

The two countries quickly became mired in the Mexican-American War, which led to the loss of half of Mexico's territory in 1848. © 2005 The Associated Press

This is sort of a repeat of the news we already know. We knew they planned two convoys. I think we'd better keep track.

I sent an e-mail letter to Representatives Tom Tancredo, Walter Jones, Sue Myrick, Ron Paul, John Culberson, Patrick McHenry, other Reps and 3 U.S. Senators that Congress needs to urgently respond to the transgressions by the Bush administration involving Katrina related illegal immigrants as well as the vary dangerous precedent of Mexican Troops.

Bush is using Katrina to layout an amnesty, to then call Vicente' Fox to say its OK that Mexican Nationals come to the U.S. to DO THE WORK TO REBUILD NEW ORLEANS!!!! To do all sorts of things.

The U.S. Congress is being simply ignored, walked on by the Executive Branch which also includes DHS Secretary Michael Cherthoff. The Congress must retort these actions!!! Contact and E-mail Reps. and Senators to respond.

The U.S. Congress represents the American People and Dictator Bush knows this. President Bush is sticking it to Americans that want Border Security. What this Mexican Navy ship should be doing is loading itself up with all the desperate needy mexican illegal Aliens it can hold and take them back to mexico. THIS WOULD BE THE AID and kind gesture by Mexico. Mexico is violating the U.S. on a massive scale and here they are now aiding its illegal Aliens in the U.S. by SENDING U.S. Troops on U.S. soil, which obviously Bush Ok'd. Impeach President Bush.

Fox News thought this was historically cute, as they put on their Ticker that Mexico Troops enter U.S. for first time since 1846.

We all must stay focused on the Congressman, they are our only hope.

By the way, Next week is going to be UN week for Bush and then even former President Clinton. So get ready for the belittling of Americans and the U.S. by President Bush and Clinton. It's going to be Global this and Global that and how Americans should pay all the bills for a Global empire...blah,blah,blah We should bring our assualt after this week, as the media will be all about UN crap this coming week. And I do mean crap.
The UN building in NY need to be renovated and then the UN can get off U.S. soil and do their Terrorist business in Iceland--that seems like a good place after the U.S. gets out of the UN.

RonLaws, you're absolutely right. We know the best way that Mexico could aid the U.S. at this time. It's only logical. Wht isn't our government run on logic?

RonLaws, I will take time today to write letters to Congress too. But let me ask you something. Why is Congress so afraid to stand up to GWB?
Also, why are the Democrats even afraid? You would think they'd be screaming for his impeachment, but overall they are very quiet. What is it that is keeping everyone quiet?

    HOW TRUE, HOW TRUE

Where were the buses in that Mexican caravan? How are they going to transport their fellow citizens back to Mexico?
