Stolen vehicles bound for West Africa seized at Niagara border crossing

Four vehicles stolen from southern Ontario and destined for West Africa have been seized at the Queenston-Lewiston Bridge.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection on April 15 inspected a truck carrying several vehicles that was en route to a port in New Jersey.
The cargo, which was to be shipped to Togo, originated in Toronto.
A check of the vehicles VIN numbers revealed the cars may have been stolen, said Kevin Corsaro, CBP spokesman.
Two Toyota Camrys, a Nissan Rogue and a Honda Accord were inspected and CBP confirmed they had been stolen from the Toronto area.
The cars, which had been reported stolen between November 2008 and last March, had a combined value of over $56,000.
The stolen vehicles were seized by CBP and will be turned over to Canadian law enforcement officials.
