DACA is illegal and bad policy: Holland

As Thomas More is quoted as telling his daughter's zealous suitor as Henry VIII made plans to have More's head cut off, "What are you going to do after you have torn down all the laws?"

DACA is not even a law. President Barack Obama issued an executive order giving amnesty to people who were brought to the United States as children. Before he issued the unlawful order he said repeatedly that he had no legal or constitutional authority to do so.

In America a law must be passed by Congress and signed by the president. DACA is the camel's head under the tent to unlimited immigration and no borders for the United States. And it is deliberately so.

If the DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) beneficiaries are declared to be legal residents they can legally bring in spouses, children and unmarried sons and daughters. When the DACAs and Dreamers become citizens, all their immediate relatives become eligible to migrate to the U.S. where they can begin their own migration chains. There will be an unending flood of migrants under the "family unification" parts of our immigration laws.

A new surge of illegal border crossings started as soon as word got out that certain youth might be given amnesty. "Youth" is a loosely applied word when describing the DACA and dreamer beneficiaries. The "youths" are up to 36 years old, and many have children of their own that are already creating their own immigration chains.

Backers of DACA want to let DACA beneficiaries jump the immigration line ahead of the multitude of would-be American citizens who have come here by the legal route. Those Americans whose stance is "Everybody should be allowed to come here if they are coming to have a better life" won't admit it but the core political purpose of DACA is to get masses from Third World countries to voting in America.

If the unlawful DACA dictate remains in force, next will come amnesty for all illegal entrants. Mass migration is the most efficient route to creating their dream nation of utopian socialism unshackled by the Constitution of the United States. The only practical approach to that objective is to shame Americans into accepting as sacred invocation that supporters of secure borders, legal and limited immigration are hard-hearted and hard-headed.

Like Napoleon, DACA's boosters, typically crown themselves — with halos of compassion and try to wrap themselves in Jesus's cloak. But their compassion seems limited only to those who came here illegally or provide cheap labor to business and industry. American citizen workers in the lower earning jobs are flat-lined in real income for the past 50 years as the flood of illegal immigrants has filled the lower-earning jobs. Therefore, we have not "easily absorbed 11 million undocumented immigrants."

Medium, upper-middle and high-income Americans all earn more, but not those Americans citizens on the lowest rung of the economic ladder. Where is the compassion for those people?

The only answer from the left-wing promoters of unlimited low-skilled immigration is more welfare (social benefits) and "raise the minimum wage to $15."

Where's the concern for the moral degeneration of American citizens whose families are broken up by insidious War on Poverty handouts that discourage work by giving non-workers benefits worth $35,000 per year, nearly double the government-defined poverty level?

Big business in America hires higher-skilled workers from Third World countries at wage-rates 75 percent below their American citizen workers, forces Americans to train them and then fires the Americans. Where is the compassion for those young Americans as they try to support families and live their "American dreams"?

Suspicious statements that aliens are more law-abiding than American citizens are also smokescreens to shield mass immigration. Migrant gang activity is featured regularly in local papers, although not identified as migrant-related. Nationwide, MS13 drug gangs from Central America are terrorizing towns and peaceful immigrants as far north as the Canadian border.

In any case, our immigration system should strive and screen for zero law-breaker entry instead of allowing criminals in that match the criminality of Americans. If smallpox was raging in the U.S., should we increase smallpox-bearing immigration just because their group had less of it than Americans?

With 60 million immigrants in our country, news that was just released the other day, I'm more convinced than ever that we need an Immediate 10 to 20 Year Moratorium on All Immigration.

Immigration is the biggest losing ponzi scheme ever invented by the US government.
