Suspected Illegal Immigrants Wait in Limbo

Many suspected illegal immigrants who were detained by Immigrations & Customs Enforcement police say they will have to wait months before an immigration judge tells them their fate.
In the meantime, they are not allowed to work, so their families are struggling. Marta and Jorge Sandoval were among 54 suspected illegal workers who were arrested during the McDonald's raids.

Jorge says, "My kids are scared because they saw the news and the papers and they say, 'pop don't go outside because they're going to take you again.'"

About 25 of the suspected illegal workers were sent back to Mexico, but deportation is a destiny the Sandoval's dread. Jorge says, "My sons, they were born here. I don't want to take my sons to Mexico because Mexico is very hard to live life there."
Several suspected illegal immigrants met with immigration officials who told them to check in the first week of every month. But come this November, they still may not know their fate.

Jorge says, "I don't know how long. It maybe months, weeks, I don't know."

They turn to Reno's Hispanic Services for guidance and donations. Rosa Molina is helping 25 people just like the Sandovals. Molina says, "I am an immigrant from El Salvador. I know how they feel when you have no place to go, no money, or anybody to help you."

Illegal aliens have put a lot of American citizens in this same position by taking jobs by cheap labor.

MANY AMERICANS HAVE FOUND THEMSELVES WITH NO JOB AND NO ONE TO HELP THEM. SOME HAVE FALLEN THROUGH THE CRACKS AND ENDED UP HOMELESS. THIS IS WHAT ILLEGALS DID TO THE AMERICAN FAMILY. SO IT IS HARD FOR ME TO FEEL SORRY FOR THEM NOW THAT THE CIRCUMSTANCES HAVE COME FULL CIRCLE. THEY ARE NOW IN THE POSITION WHICH AMERICAN FAMILIES HAVE HAD TO ENDURE FOR SOME TIME NOW. NOT KNOWING HOW YOU ARE GOING TO PUT FOOD ON THE TABLE FOR YOUR KIDS. COMES AROUND GOES AROUND.

I was on a radio program last night and one of the announcers said that we should protest Wal-mart because of their catering to illegals. I said that I have no choice but to boycott Wal-mart because the little money my family has left has to be devoted to bills. Thanks to the ones who are here to do jobs that Americans will not do. And thanks to a lot of companies that I am in the process of exposing.

I don't know about the Wal-marts in your towns, but here in Reno, we are seeing more and more American faces working in all the departments at Wal-mart and other businesses. Especially, in fast food resturants. They are afraid to go to work, and some are leaving. Maybe for home or to other states. Soon they will run out of states and have to go home. State officials in Irving, Texas are assisting ICE.
