School districts are run like a dictatorship, they do as the head honcho and the board of education says and thats the end of the matter. Parents, regular teachers, students, etc have no say in the matter. So if the BOE likes illegals then illegals must be supported and liked by each and every person. Its just like North Korea or Iraq under Saddam.

They are having an play about hate crimes and acceptance of gay people, guess what. Now everyone has to accept gay people regardless of their opinions and if they even say the word "gay", "fag", etc then they get charged with hate crimes, same with even saying "MOD EDIT". If a white student and a minority or gay student get in a fight its an automatic hate crime charges for the white student.

This one really frosts me. This kid is a hero and deserves an award.

You nailed it. This is the typical leftist response and that is tolerance for everyone but conservatives. These people are mental defectives with the collective I.Q. of a house plant. They are so academically inbred they couldn't hold a non-socialist thought in their fevered little brains if their lives depended on it. American academia is a national scandal, a pathetic joke, people hiding behind their tenures, spouting the most inane drivel imaginable and passing it off for thoughtful discourse. At the same time, anyone who disagrees is labeled a "hater" or a "racist." Academic objectivity is a joke in this country. Whatever happened to the concept of not making value judgements in the academic world? I suppose that concept is only for conservatives to acknowledge.

I hope reasonable people will protect and defend this kid to the limit and verbally pound those who have attackd him.

College MEcha organizations, which are adult orgaizations, or any other organization, should not be allowed in any way shape or form on a high school property. PERIOD.

I agree 100% with your statement. Can you imagine the uproar from the extreme left, probably the majority of the school teachers, if a religious organiztion or group tried to come on the school grounds to organize an anti abortion protest. We would have the ACLU and the police running them out.

The teachers there are setting a very poor example for the students
by not clearly expressing displeasure at illegal behavior and ignoring the rule of law. Instead, they are concerned about some politically incorrect
(but accurate) comment. They should be concerned about all of the illegals in our country.

ARRRGGGHHH! I MISSED IT!

After I posted this story here, I sent it to all the local media in Southern CA. One talk show host, John Zeigler, from KFI 640 emailed me back and said "thanks for the tip".

He had the kid on his show last night!!! AND I MISSED IT! Zeigler didn't say he was going to actually take my tip and act on it!

This is a lesson for me that people are really listening out there.

I sent the boy an emailed 'attaboy' 'hang in there' type of email...I can imagine how he felt with so much ammunition from so many being fired off on him. I hope all it did was steel his resolve to tell the truth and nothing but the truth all the time about everything. (What a tall order!!)

I think the National Teachers Union is the root of most, if not all, the problems in our schools.

I took a particular interest in this story because I grew up in Corvallis Oregon and attended CHS.

If I can trust that link on a previous post is the correct one to contact Demarest, I'll have to give him an atta boy.


One conclusion I came to as a high school student was that the people who went into high school teaching were the people that never grew up.

I should caveat this that I'm sure there are some high school teachers that do a good job and have made something of their lives.

But from my experience most of them were just plain losers.

What probably irks them the most is that Demarest will probably accomplish a lot more in his life than they did.

Damn.

I listen to the Ziegler show most of the time and I missed the interview with Demarest.
