TEMECULA ---- U.S. Border Patrol agents seized 56 pounds of methamphetamine Monday, authorities reported
Agents working the Temecula checkpoint along Interstate 15 found the bundled drugs hidden inside a 1999 Mercury Cougar, the agency reported. The driver, a 56-year-old Mexican national, was turned over to the Drug Enforcement Agency.
Border Patrol officials estimate the methamphetamine had a street value of $1.12 million
