CINCINNATI (CBS Cleveland/AP) — A former Ohio poll worker sentenced to five years in prison for voting illegally on behalf of other people has been released from prison after less than a year behind bars.
Melowese Richardson of Madisonville was released Tuesday after her attorney says she gave him permission to reveal that she has bipolar disorder.
Her attorney, David Singleton, shared Richardson’s medical records with Hamilton County Prosecutor Joe Deters.
After reviewing the case, Deters asked Judge Robert Ruehlman to allow Richardson to be released.
“In the interest of justice, it is time for her to go home,” Deters said, according to WCPO-TV.

Ruehlman agreed and placed Richardson on five years of probation.
Singleton said justice was served with Richardson’s early release.

“Justice was done in this case today,”Singleton told WXIX-TV. “We are grateful to Prosecuting Attorney Joe Deters for stepping up to ask the judge to release Melowese in light of the new information. We are thankful to Judge Ruehlman for revisiting his sentence and placing Ms. Richardson on probation.”
The 59-year-old Richardson previously told a TV station that she had voted multiple times for President Barack Obama on behalf of herself and family members. She had said she had no intent to commit voter fraud.

She votes as though she has multiple personalities, not highs and lows.

Barack Obama is the living, animated, modern-day incarnation of a Hitler, Stalin, or Marx in the early to mid-stage of metamorphosis. Completely protected by the other two governing bodies, he enjoys being impervious to all opposing ideologies, including the United States Constitution.

Obama threatens vetoes of bills requiring him to follow the law

By Joel Gehrke | MARCH 12, 2014 AT 1:45 PM

The lead sponsor of the measure, Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., said it was designed to curb Obama's abuse of presidential authority, most notably in his frequent changes to Obamacare.
"We have pursued certain remedies afforded to Congress to address executive overreach but these efforts have been thwarted," Gowdy said. "This bill is necessary; it will give Congress the authority to defend this branch of government as the Framers and our fellow citizens would expect.
    "
President Obama is threatening to veto a law that would allow Congress to sue him in federal courts for arbitrarily changing or refusing to enforce federal laws because it "violates the separation of powers" by encroaching on his presidential authority.

"[T]he power the bill purports to assign to Congress to sue the President over whether he has properly discharged his constitutional obligation to take care that the laws be faithfully executed exceeds constitutional limitations," the White House Office of Management and Budget said Wednesday in a statement of administration policy. "Congress may not assign such power to itself, nor may it assign to the courts the task of resolving such generalized political disputes."

"This bill is necessary; it will give Congress the authority to defend this branch of government as the Framers and our fellow citizens would expect."

Obama also threatened to veto another bill by Rep. Ron DeSantis, R-Fla., which would require the administration to explain decisions not to enforce laws when those decisions are rooted in policy concerns rather than just constitutional concerns (which the Justice Department is already required to do).

"The American people deserve to know exactly which laws the Obama administration is refusing to enforce and why," DeSantis said when introducing his bill.

OMB said DeSantis' law is too burdensome. "The bill would inordinately expand current law, which already requires reports to Congress when non-enforcement of federal law is based on constitutional grounds," Obama's team said in a statement of administration policy.

"Federal agencies are continually engaged in the process of determining how to concentrate limited enforcement resources most effectively. ... The vastly expanded reporting scheme required by the bill would be unduly burdensome and would place the Attorney General in the unprecedented position of having to be kept informed of and report on enforcement decisions made by every other Federal agency," the statement continued.
The House is scheduled to vote on both bills Wednesday.

On the same day that DeSantis introduced his bill, Attorney General Eric Holder told Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah, that he thought Obama was "probably at the height of his constitutional power" when issuing the delays of Obamacare mandates, though he acknowledged that he couldn't explain the precise legal analysis.

"When you look at the quality, not just the quantity but the quality, the nature of the executive orders that he has issued, he has usurped an extraordinary amount of authority within the executive branch," Lee said at the time. "This is not precedented, and I point to the delay — the unilateral delay, lawless delay, in my opinion — of the employer mandate as an example of this. And so, at a minimum, I think he owes us an explanation as to what his legal analysis was."

NO JUSTICE DEPARTMENT CHARGES AGAINST OHIO WOMAN WHO VOTED SIX TIMES FOR OBAMA

    by J. CHRISTIAN ADAMS
    23 Mar 2014,

Last week Al Sharpton embraced convicted vote fraudster Melowese Richardson at a “voting rights” rally in Cincinnati. The United States Department of Justice under Eric Holder has done nothing to Melowese Richardson 410 days after she admitted on camera that she committed multiple federal felonies by voting six times for President Obama’s reelection.

Federal law makes it a felony to vote more than once for President. In fact, 42 U.S.C. Section 1973i(e) subjects Richardson to twenty-five years in federal prison for her six votes for Obama.

The lack of DOJ action against an unrepentant federal vote fraudster combined with Richardson’s lionization by Sharpton and the organization that sponsored the rally demonstrates how the Justice Department is facilitating a culture of brazen criminality on the eve of the 2014 midterm elections. The failure to indict Richardson is the latest example of Holder’s department excusing lawlessness in federal elections and abandoning law abiding Americans.

Melowese Richardson was charged with state voter fraud crimes in Ohio. She was found guilty and sentenced to five years in prison on July 7, 2013. Unfortunately, instead of serving five years, Richardson was set free after only eight months.

A state court judge dismissed her May 2013 conviction and five-year prison sentence and allowed her to plead no contest to four counts of illegal voting, the same charges for which she was convicted.

Richardson was represented by the George Soros-funded Ohio Justice and Policy Center, which claimed she suffered from bi-polar disorder. No claim was made that she was insane when she committed her election crimes.Nor was any effort made to establish her insanity.

Her mental state was healthy enough to appear at a rally this week with Al Sharptonwhere she received warm applause and a hearty embrace by Sharpton.

Federal criminal charges, even after a state court conviction, do not implicate double jeopardy. The Justice Department routinely charges criminals who were previously subject to state charges. The Justice Department’s US Attorney’s Manual spells out the three tests for a federal prosecution of Richardson, standards which are easily satisfied.

First, the matter must involve a substantial federal interest; second, the prior prosecution must have left that interest demonstrably unvindicated; and third, applying the same test that is applicable to all federal prosecutions, the government must believe that the defendant's conduct constitutes a federal offense, and that the admissible evidence probably will be sufficient to obtain and sustain a conviction by an unbiased trier of fact.

Federal charges against Richardson easily satisfy DOJ guidelines. There is a unique federal interest in ensuring voter fraud does not taint the election of the President and Congress.Second, the federal interest in having valid elections for President and Congress remains unvindicated; Richardson walks free and is now being cheered at rallies.

Last, Richardson admitted on camera that she committed multiple federal felonies and her handwriting matched the ballot applications that were sent to her house.Game, set, match.

DOJ doesn’t hesitate to bring federal charges against local police officers. For example, when a policeman receives a light sentence in state court after allegedly employing excessive force against a citizen, the DOJ Civil Rights Division is keen to initiate federal prosecution to exact its own federal pound of flesh against that officer. But the failure to prosecute Richardson demonstrates that criminal behavior which aids the reelection of President Obama receives very different treatment.

Federal charges against Richardson for voting for Obama six times can be initiated by Assistant United States Attorney Anthony Springer, who serves as the District Election Officer (DEO) in Cincinnati.U.S. Attorney Carter Stewart could also initiate charges, as could the Public Integrity Section in Washington D.C., or even Eric Holder himself.
DEO Anthony Springer donated $750 to Barack Obama’s Presidential campaign according to FEC records.

Ohio Votes sponsored the rally where Richardson appeared with Sharpton.According to their website, it is a “year-round, statewide, nonpartisan 501(c)(3) voter mobilization initiative. It galvanizes nonprofits based in low income Ohio communities to increase voter participation and join efforts for fair elections.” The umbrella organization received $1,886,723 in government grants in 2012.The organization’s tax returns state the group exists to change “onerous voting laws” and that it focuses on “educating voters on the mechanics of how, when and where to participate in early voting for the Presidential election.”

The IRS continues to provide the group 501(c)(3) tax exempt status despite its active role in the reelection of the President, and its embrace of election criminals.

Woman Who Voted Six Times For Obama Got EPA Grant

I want Obama to be President six times
Eric Holder has done nothing about Melowese Richardson after she admitted on camera that she voted six times for President Obama’s reelection. Now we learn she’s also received an EPA grant. Of course she’s embraced by the left..

    Hat tip: Daily Caller:
The woman who admitted to voting for President Barack Obama six times worked for and sat on the board of a group that received an Obama administration Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) grant.

Melowese Richardson admitted in 2013 to voting six times for Obama’s re-election while working as a poll worker in Hamilton County, Ohio. Initially convicted on state voter fraud charges and sentenced to five years in prison, Richardson served eight months before the George Soros-funded Ohio Justice and Policy Center helped lessen her sentence to probation. Richardson appeared last week at a rally with some Ohio Democrats and Al Sharpton, who publicly gave her a hug.

Richardson worked for and sat on the board of a Cincinnati-based environmental activist group called Communities United for Action, which received an EPA grant and attended a conference with former Obama administration Labor Secretary Hilda Solis.

“My name is Melowese Richardson and I work for a group called CUFA, Communities United for Action. We passed the first environmental protection ordianance in the country here in Cincinnati and I love to participate with this group because of their repowering America,” Richardson said in a May 15, 2010 video for the Repowering America initiative, which was launched in 2008 by The Climate Reality Project in a speech by former Democratic vice president Al Gore.
I thought voter fraud was something liberals are always telling us doesn’t exist?

Sharpton unveils race-baiting scheme for increasing 2014 midterm turnout

You want to know how Democrats plan to boost voter turnout for the 2014 midterm elections? Just follow the charlatan Al Sharpton.

According to Cincinnati.com, The Rev. Al Sharpton was busy revving up the crowd Thursday night in Ohio to support an Ohio Voters Bill of rights. In typical fashion, Sharpton told the crowd at World Deliverance Church, Republicans’ efforts to try and suppress the vote “is all a scheme to disempower and disenfranchise the vote in Ohio.” And silly me, I thought liberal progressives wanted a separation between church and state, i.e. politics. Oops, there I go again, expecting hypocrisy won’t be a part of the liberal socialist playbook.

Sharpton went on to state (stupidly), “Nobody gave us the right to vote and nobody is going to give it to us now. We fought for it and we’re going to fight for our right to keep it.”

Sharpton is under the misconception that possessing an ID to vote is disenfranchisement. If that be the case, then the entire airline industry is based on disenfranchisement as well.

Instead of promoting the integrity of our electoral system — something I’ve experienced – he’s received his Obama administration marching orders to stir up angst. What is amazing to me is that the same liar who gave us the Tawana Brawley hoax is passing himself off as a credible individual. Are his followers in the black community just that delusional?

The amendment would allow online registration; maintain current identification options and expand them to include student identification; maintain the 35-day early voting period and forbid a ballot from being rejected due to poll worker error. The goal: End partisan input into voting laws. Riiight.

However, if the goal was to end partisan input into voting laws and to guarantee integrity, then why did the Rev. Bobby Hilton, president of the Cincinnati chapter of the National Action Network call Melowese Richardson to the stage to welcome her home. You all remember Ms. Richardson, right? Ms. Richardson was the Hamilton County (Cincinnati, Ohio) poll worker convicted of voter fraud for voting on behalf of friends and family –seven times actually, but who’s counting — and was recently released early from a five-year prison sentence.

Hilton and the National Action Network worked to free Richardson, saying the sentence was racially motivated. Also, Rev Hilton referred in his rhetoric to one Hamilton County Juvenile Court Judge Tracie Hunter as an example of why the Voters Bill of Rights is needed. Hunter, who is facing eight criminal charges and is suspended from her job, recently faced a long-contested election over provisional ballots before she was finally declared the election’s winner.

I just wonder if the black community will ever realize no one is taking them seriously when they support petty usurpers and law-breakers. They do more harm to their cause than good — actually, they don’t really have a cause, but they certainly have an effect.

Why doesn’t the right Rev. Sharpton take on Mayor de Blasio who’s closing down charter schools in Harlem? Why not address the issue of school choice in the black community? Perhaps join forces with Senator Rand Paul and assess means by which capital investment could be unleashed in the inner city in order to spur on small business development and economic growth? Nah, it is better to play simpleton political games at the bidding of his massa’ the Democrat party and President Obama.

And I’m the sellout? Get real.
