Illegal alien load van crashes in Mexico's Finest City

Dozens Hurt When Van Crashes During Pursuit
4 Victims Taken To Hospitals By Air Ambulances

SAN DIEGO -- Twenty-one people were hurt Friday afternoon when four vehicles crashed during a Border Patrol pursuit near San Ysidro.

Video from NBC 7/39's news helicopter showed dozens of people being attended by firefighters and paramedics in an area 30 yards wide on the side of Interstate 905 near the Interstate 805 offramp.

Three passenger vans and a sedan were involved in the crash, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Authorities said the chase began at about 1:37 p.m. when a Border Patrol unit tried to pull over a van. The van sped off and the Border Patrol gave chase.

Eight of the people who were injured in the crash had serious injuries. Four of them were taken by helicopter ambulance to Scripps Mercy Hospital, and two other were brought to UCSD Medical Center. Nineteen people were treated at the scene by paramedics at a makeshift triage center.

The victims had injuries ranging from cuts and bruises to broken bones and internal inuries, reported NBC 7/39.

All three lanes of westbound 905 were shut down while people were being treated at the scene. Officials hoped to reopen one lane to traffic by 4:30 p.m.

So three vans transporting illegals were spotted by Border Patrol. The first two were stopped, but the third fled. What a surprise. On the local radio they reported that 30 people were in the van that crashed. And the reporter said they were possibly "alleged illegal immigrants". Gee, you think so? I thought everyone drives with 30 people in a single van. What a friggin disgrace. Of course they never use the term illegal aliens or load van or smugglers, it's just a car crash that might have had "alleged illegal immigrants".

But of course, the local TV news has a 30 second story on the crash. I guess they need the rest of the hour broadcast for in depth stories on eye lash extensions for Valentines Day or the new Curious George movie coming out.

So 21 of the illegals needed medical treatment. I wonder who will pay the bill for all their emergency services? I'm sure all these illegal alien law breaking criminals, being as they have the money to pay to be smuggled across the border will all have health insurance to pay for their injuries. Yeah right. But they're all just good hearted willing workers, coming here to do the jobs us Americans are too lazy to do. Thank you Mr. President. And I'm sure they all have had their backgrounds checked, with full health screenings and have no intention of ever using public services or have any anchor babies we will have to support.

    Passenger-packed van rolls on I-80

ATLANTIC, Iowa A van carrying 18 people rolled early this morning on Interstate 80 in Cass County in southwest Iowa.

The sheriff's office says the van was headed east on I-80 when it went out of control about one a-m. The van rolled onto its side and ended up in the westbound lanes of traffic.

The accident happened just east of the U-S Highway 71 interchange, near Atlantic.

According to the sheriff's office, some of the people in the van took off running. They were found with the help of volunteers with the Atlantic fire department and the sheriff's office.

According to K-J-A-N in Atlantic, only minor injuries were reported. There was no immediate word on where the van was from, or where it was going.

K-J-A-N says the 18 people, all believed to be Hispanics, are being held in Cass County awaiting interviews with immigration officials.

LOL REPTILE! I like your heading. I was just about to post this same news when I started reading headlines. I knew it had to be you when I saw the title.

I saw on the LA news last night when they were medivac-ing them to hospitals. Ticks me off to no end to pay those bills but you can bet we will!

I wonder what it costs for a medical chopper to take people to hospitals. I know it isn't cheap. Now we just sent HOW many illegals to how many different hospitals?

About $7-8 grand a trip. Times how many? 25? Sounds like $200,000 to me, and that's just the chopper ride. Wait until we get the HOSPITAL bill.

OTAY MESA – Twenty-one illegal immigrants were injured yesterday when one of three vans being chased by the U.S. Border Patrol overturned on state Route 905, plummeting down a 30-foot embankment and scattering passengers over a wide area.

Eight of the more seriously injured were quickly taken to four hospitals, although none of the injuries was life-threatening. Thirteen others were treated at a triage center set up on the roadway before being taken to hospitals.

The incident triggered a major emergency response from the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department and a massive snarl on freeways and roadways near the International Border.

Fifty firefighters, nine ambulances and two helicopters were dispatched to the area, east of the on-ramp to northbound Interstate 805.
