U.S. Immigration Reform PAC Supports Goode Warning

WASHINGTON, Dec. 22 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Washington, D.C.-based U.S. Immigration Reform Political Action Committee (USIRP) today endorsed a warning by U.S. Rep. Virgil Goode, R-Va., that if this nation doesn't take a hard line on immigration control "there will likely be more Muslims elected to office and demanding the use of the Quran."

USIRP communications director Phil Kent said, "What is wrong with the congressman sending a message that there is a problem within Islam -- and that until the radical wing of that major religion stops threatening and attacking the United States and the West we should end illegal immigration and have a moratorium on Muslim immigration?"

Kent agreed with Goode, who said, "we need to stop illegal immigration ... and end the diversity visas policy pushed hard by President Clinton and allowing many persons from the Middle East to come to this country."

"Congress allows the U.S. State Department to foolishly conduct a so- called diversity visa lottery every year," Kent said. "They spin the wheel without regard to a criminal or education background, and willy-nilly grant visas to 50,000 foreigners -- and over half come from countries on the Department's own terrorist watch list. Dear Congressman Goode,
Just a brief note of appreciation. It is about time someone stood up and said no with conviction on issues of American sovereignty and our way of life. I 100% support you in your stance as related in the following story from WRC TV that was reported on MSNBC.Com 12/20/06. If we are ever to survive as America we MUST stand up and stop this obvious disregard and blatant push to alter the very essence of who and what we are. These statements are neither hateful nor offensive but merely are. We have every bit the right to insist on these things. They are doing no less by insisting we adapt their ways and customs. We cannot survive going where all of this will ultimately take us. We are reaching a critical mass point with both legal and illegal immigration out of control. This must stop for our sake but more and most importantly for our children and posterity’s sake. Thank you Mr. Goode!

WASHINGTON - A Virginia congressman has warned that "many more Muslims" will be elected demanding to use the Quran unless immigration is tightened. Republican Rep. Virgil Goode made the comment in a letter to constituents who had written in about Congressman-elect Keith Ellison's decision to use the Quran at his ceremonial swearing-in.

"I do not subscribe to using the Koran in any way," Goode wrote…..

…..A spokesman for Goode said no apology was forthcoming, and that the congressman stands by the letter.
