LAS VEGAS (AP) — Two illegal immigrants accused of killing a man with a bomb in the parking lot of a Las Vegas Strip hotel-casino were bound over Tuesday for trial in state court.

Accused bombmaker Porfirio Duarte-Herrera, 27, of Nicaragua, and a co-defendant who has used names including Omar Rueda-Denvers and Alexander Perez waived a preliminary hearing before a Las Vegas justice of the peace, who ordered them to appear Aug. 15 for their first appearance in Clark County District Court.
Duarte-Herrera and Rueda-Denvers acknowledged through a Spanish interpreter that they face felony charges including murder, attempted murder, bombmaking and bomb possession in the May 7 explosion that killed Willebaldo Dorantes Antonio, 24, of Mexico.
Their lawyers have said they will fight the charges. They could face life in prison if convicted. Both remain in custody without bail.
