Tonight on AC360: U.S. teens recruited by Mexican drug cartels

We have been coming to Laredo, Texas and Nuevo Laredo, Mexico for several years covering the Zeta cartel and the incredible influence it has on both sides of the border.

Several years ago, Ed Lavandera learned of American teenagers that were hired by the cartel to kill on both sides of the border. We patched together their story from police interviews and interrogation tapes and the photos of the horrendous crime scenes they left behind.

Now, we interviewed two of these men who say they started killing for the cartel when they were young teenagers. They tell of a violent world where they say it was kill or be killed. They were showered with money, cars and houses while killing dozens of wanted men inside this dark world.
