PHOENIX -- Phoenix has become a hotbed for Mexican fugitives in hiding, according to the U.S. Marshals Service.

"(Phoenix has) a huge Hispanic population, so it's easy for a fugitive to come into the U.S. and kind of disappear into society," said Marshal David Gonzalez.

A group of specially trained U.S. marshals, known as the Marshals Mexican Investigative Liaison Unit, works with Mexican authorities to track the fugitives down, arrest them and send them back to Mexico.

"We get requests from the Republic of Mexico on a daily basis for fugitives they think might be here," Gonzalez said.

Wow....Mexico actually wants us to find these people and send them back? I am truly shocked they even care after they have crossed the border.

My thougts exactly. How are police supposed to look for Hispanic criminals without some sort of profiling going on?

Best thing we can do is pay Mexico a quarter of the money it takes to keep our prisoners happy so we can empty out the jails and prisons. It will help their economy with jobs to build prisons and guard them. , will keep drug cartels happy that they now have a new market for all their drugs without too much travel. Works for me!
