Trump: Brown creating ‘breeding concept’ in sanctuary cities

President Trump on Wednesday attacked California Gov. Jerry Brown over sanctuary laws, accused him of not protecting the border with Mexico and said “there is a Revolution going on in California.”

“Soooo many Sanctuary areas want OUT of this ridiculous, crime infested & breeding concept,” Trump tweeted early Wednesday.

“Jerry Brown is trying to back out of the National Guard at the Border, but the people of the State are not happy. Want Security & Safety NOW!” he added.

The president’s message followed his twitter tirade on Tuesday in which he slammed the Democratic governor for limiting the role of the National Guard troops along the border, saying the move would cause an increase in the crime rate.

“Looks like Jerry Brown and California are not looking for safety and security along their very porous Border,” Trump tweeted Tuesday.

“He cannot come to terms for the National Guard to patrol and protect the Border. The high crime rate will only get higher. Much wanted Wall in San Diego already started!”

On Monday, Brown said his state would not go along with the terms of Trump’s planned deployment of National Guard troops on the US border with Mexico.

He said he would be willing to send up to 400 members of the Guard under his control to fight “transitional crime” but they would not do the same work as other soldiers deployed by other states — including helping to build a wall or engaging in immigration enforcement.

Last month, the Justice Department asked a federal judge to block California laws that restrict how state businesses and law enforcement agencies can cooperate with immigration authorities, the Washington Post reported.

Brown later said the president was “going to war” with his state.
