Trump: Immigration Raids Coming 'Fairly Soon'

President Trump on Friday said that his administration would begin rounding up illegal immigrants for mass deportation "fairly soon," after the operation was postponed last month due to someone leaking the date.
"I don’t call them raids. I say they came in illegally and we’re bringing them out legally. They’ll be starting fairly soon. We’re removing people that have come in, all of these people over the years that have come in illegally, we are removing them and bringing them back to their country," Trump told reporters at the White House.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) last month said operations would target recently-arrived undocumented migrants in a bid to discourage a surge of Central American families at the southwest border.
ICE said in a statement its focus was arresting people with criminal histories but any immigrant found in violation of U.S. laws was subject to arrest. -Reuters

The new sweep comes after migrant apprehensions on the southwest border hit a 13-year high in May, only to dramatically drop in June after Mexico deployed their National Guard stem the flow of mostly Central American migrants into the United States.
According to documents published this week by migrant rights groups, ICE has previously made more so-called "collateral" arrests of non-criminal migrants (aside from residency) than the criminals they were targeting. The rights groups say that the US government's 'generalized threat' against illegals is harmful to the US economy, as it forces adults to miss work and children to skip school if they feel they may be at risk of arrest.
"We have to be ready, not just when Trump announces it, because there are arrests every day," said New Mexico migrant rights organizer Elsa Lopez, who works for Somos Un Pueblo Unido. The organization helps migrants enter the United States; advising them on their civil rights, and connecting them to a phone network that will send alerts if ICE agents are in their neighborhood.

A rising number of migrants are coming from outside Central America, including India, Cuba and African countries. The Del Rio, Texas, Border Patrol sector on Friday reported the arrest of over 1,000 Haitians since June 10. -Reuters

Between the Mexican national guard and the looming threat of being tossed in a detention facility while awaiting deportation, we wonder how many migrants have recently decided against the already-dangerous trek into the United States?

2 WEEKS IS UP TODAY!!!!! SO I assume nothing is going to happen tommorrow Sunday????? I don't like this "FARILY SOON" comment he made. Makes me think we're going to get screwed again by him but at least there hasn't been any MSM stories detailing future enforcement operations, like there was 2 weeks ago this time. They need to change the cities they start in this time and keep it quiet until the MSM picks up on the operations throught these Communist Mexican groups.

"FAIRLY SOON" could be tomorrow? But with Trump that probably means, "NEVER HAPPENING", waiting till next week for an official delay because a deal is at hand in Congress.

Another broken promise from Treacherous Trump. As soon as I heard about this I knew he would never do it. He never does anything good about immigration. He tweets and runs his mouth. I am fed up with his little games of promises never fulfilled.

  Doresident Donald Trump said on Friday mass deportation roundups would begin "fairly soon" as U.S. migrant advocates vowed their communities would be "ready" when immigration officers come.

Trump, who has made a hardline immigration stance a key issue of his presidency and 2020 re-election bid, postponed the operation last month after the date was leaked, but on Monday he said it would take place after July 4.
"They'll be starting fairly soon, but I don't call them raids, we're removing people, all of these people who have come in over the years illegally," he told reporters at the White House on Friday.


U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) last month said operations would target recently-arrived undocumented migrants in a bid to discourage a surge of Central American families at the southwest border.

Government documents published this week by migrant rights groups showed some past ICE operations resulted in more so-called "collateral" arrests of undocumented migrants agents happened to find, than apprehensions of targeted people.


Migrant rights groups said this generalized threat is harmful to communities, and the U.S. economy, as it forces adults to miss work and children to skip school out of fear they may be picked up and separated.
"We have to be ready, not just when Trump announces it, because there are arrests every day," said Elsa Lopez, an organizer for Somos Un Pueblo Unido, a New Mexico group which educates migrants on their civil rights and creates phone networks to send alerts if ICE enters their neighborhood.


The threatened raids come after migrant apprehensions on the southwest border hit a 13-year high in May before easing in June as Mexico increased immigration enforcement.

Democratic lawmakers visited an El Paso, Texas, Border Patrol station on Monday and said migrants were being held in "horrifying" conditions, with women told to drink out of a toilet.


To "dispel" what he called "the misinformation," Chief Border Patrol Agent Roy Villareal put out a video showing fresh water available from a cooler and a faucet in a cell at a Tucson, Arizona, sector migrant processing center.
"We're not forcing aliens to drink out of the toilet," said Villareal, head of an area that in May apprehended nearly six times fewer people than the El Paso sector, a stretch of border that has borne the brunt of the migrant surge.

Even if it does happen, I don't expect much from it. The numbers being mentioned won't even make a dent in the 20+ million illegal aliens currently residing in the United States. Another loud thunderous threat that will probably not turn into more than a fart in the wind.

NOT deporting them "harms" our communities and all Americans are affected by illegal aliens across this Nation.

Deport the whole family and no enrollment in our taxpayer funded schools.

We are not paying taxes out of OUR paychecks to educate millions of foreign citizens, who are illegal aliens, they are not U.S. citizens and should not be entitled to our benefits!!!

I'm actually thinking that ICE will wait for a WEEK DAY to start these raids. Although this may mean these families are separated because the father or mother could be a work, it's alot more safer to conduct these raids when people in the greater neighborhood are at work also and therefore aren't in a position to physically disrupt the enforement actions. Maybe these raids will never begin but if they do, they won't be advertised like they were a few weeks ago and they will commence on a working day and probably will cease during the weekends when more residents in these areas are hanging out at home. These Mexican groups have established phone tree networks to warn people of impending action in their neighborhoods. What these people are really doing is OBSTRUCTING JUSTICE and they brag about it in the MSM.

No family member left behind...deport their minor children with them. They cannot leave them here like an unwanted box of puppies.

Best to sell out, pack up, and get out or leave with nothing!!!

Get them out of our Churches. Churches are not above the law, they ARE subject to the same laws we are. They are just men operating those Churches as a business, no better, and NO worse that any of us that break the law!
