Father of 5-Year-Old Told to Appear at Chicago Immigration Customs Enforcement Office
Father of 5-Year-Old Told to Appear at Chicago Immigration Customs Enforcement Office With A Plane Ticket
June 5, 2017
Community to Rally Behind Father To Demand That He Be Allowed To Stay Alongside His Family In The United States
CHICAGO—(ENEWSPF)—June 5, 2017. A rally in support of Noe Adan Carlos-Herrera, community organizer and the father of a 5-year-old U.S. citizen will be held on Tuesday, June 6 at 11:30 a.m. at the Chicago Immigration Customs Enforcement Office, 101 West Congress Parkway in Chicago. After having spent over an year in detention, and being granted a Stay of Removal last year, Mr. Carlos-Herrera is now being asked to report to his ICE check-in with a plane ticket for Mexico. Despite submitting a new Stay of Removal request at his last check in on April 28, 2016, ICE has refused to provide an answer to that request to either him or his lawyer.
Mr. Carlos-Herrera has been dedicated to doing everything possible to remain with his family, including his 5-year-old U.S. citizen daughter. Mr. Carlos-Herrera first came in contact with ICE in 2013 after a traffic violation, and was detained for over a year in the Dodge Detention Facility. He was released after almost a year of community demands for his release. He was granted a stay of removal last year.
Since the changes to immigration enforcement made under the Trump administration, numerous community members around the country have been asked to check-in to immigration office. Some are not being allowed to come out and are even being detained and deported on the spot.
Mr. Carlos-Herrera is the second OCAD member to be asked to return to an ICE appointment in recent weeks. Community members plan to convene outside the local ICE office to express support for Mr. Carlos-Herrera and will remain there until he is safely back with his family and community. As a community, we are committed to showing up for each other. Mr. Carlos-Herrera was told he would be able to leave the ICE offices after presenting his plane ticket. ICE should grant Mr. Carlos-Herrera his request and be allowed to return to his home in Aurora with his family.
Organized Communities Against Deportations (OCAD) is an undocumented-led group that organizes against the deportation and criminalization of Black, Brown and immigrant communities in Chicago and surrounding areas.

A real man would take his family to his country - he does not have permission to be here in the USA.

The illegals really use the kids that they quickly have as soon as they get here. I wonder how many he left in Mexico before he came...

ACTION ALERT: Chicago father of a 2-year old needs help, could be deported this Friday. Please Call Chicago Field Office Director Ricardo Wong at 312-347-2221 and ask that Noe's deportation be stopped
Sample Script: "I am calling in support of Noe Adan Carlos-Herrera (A# 088-772-137) to ask that ICE release him from detention. Noe is a responsible adult. I understand he has crossed the border several times, however, it was all for the love of his family. He has no criminal record, he has support from his community, and just wants to be able to work to support his daughter. Please release Noe"
Keep Noe Adan with his daughter!
Noe Adan is fighting to stay with his daughter in the US. Show ICE he has community support to stay.

URGENT: Noe Adan, father of a 3 year old US citizen, is in danger of deportation! CALL NOW! Share and ask others to also call!
Noe was scheduled for deportation this morning, but when representatives from Organized Communities Against Deportations (OCAD) showed up to the Broadview Detention Center with a bag full of his clothes, they were told he was no longer on the list of deportees for that day.
Noe is here thanks to the intervention of community members like you, but for how long?
Though Noe wasn't deported this morning, he remains detained. According to the local ICE spokesperson, Noe "remains in ICE custody pending removal to Mexico." Though Noe clearly qualifies for prosecutorial discretion under President Obama’s new guidelines, without your help ICE will try to deport him, perhaps even by the end of the week. This is unacceptable.
ICE needs to follow the new guidelines, and Noe needs to remain with his family. Help us apply pressure once more by:
#1. Calling the Chicago ICE Field office, (312) 347-2221 or (312) 347-2474.
"I am calling about Noe Adan Carlos Herrera A088-772-137. With no significant criminal record, one U.S. citizen daughter, and only prior immigration violations, is your office considering using prosecutorial discretion to stop his deportation? He should be considered low priority, and I support his release."
#2. Calling ICE Headquarters in Washington DC. at (202) 732-3000
"I am calling regarding the case of Noe Adan Carlos Herrera A088-772-137. The Chicago ICE Field office has refused to release him, even though he has no significant criminal record, one U.S. citizen daughter, and only prior immigration violations. This goes against DHS Director Johnson's directive to consider immigration violations a priority. Will ICE headquarters review the actions of the Chicago Field office? Will you consider using prosecutorial discretion to stop his deportation?
Please remember to also continue to sign the Noe’s online petition and to spread the word about Noe's case. Thank you for your continued support, from OCAD and from Noe, who even in detention remains hopeful.

Now she is 5 and they are still using the child. Parents are responsible for their children. He needs to take his responsibility back home with him and when she is 18, she can pursue her citizenship. IMO

Breeding is no longer a license to violate US immigration law. You grab your offspring and sprint back to Mexico.
