It's in every speech Trump made during the campaign that I heard on DACA. But there are 3 programs, the 2 he promised to end which a judge had already stopped and then the third one that he never talked about, that is the DACA 2012 implemented with a DHS MEMO by Janet Napolitano that was addressed and allowed to continue by a Federal Judge Hanen, the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals and the US Supreme Court.
Trump never promised to end DACA 2012. Period. I'm sure he wants to, why wouldn't he? But he didn't "promise to end it day one". In fact, with the Court Ruling that sustains it and separates it from the injunction on the 2 he did promise to end, I'm not even sure he can until the 26 state case is resolved, one way or the other.
But if during the course of the campaign, people assumed that he promised to end DACA 2012, or misunderstood his promises to include it, I mean that's fine. ALIPAC has withdrawn its endorsement of Trump, which is its right to do, and that's fine.
It will all become more clear to everyone as time marches on.
