Local man charged with assault and battery

FRAMINGHAM - A Framingham man was arrested Saturday night on assault charges at the intersection of Pine and Cedar streets, police said.

Conception Miranda, 42, of 26 Pine St., was arrested at 10:40 p.m. and charged with assault with a dangerous weapon and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, police said.

As of yesterday afternoon, he was being held on a detainer warrant from Immigration and Customs Enforcement, said department spokesman Lt. Ron Brandolini.

No additional information was available yesterday.
