PRESS RELEASE from the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Department

On Thursday March 5, 2009, Santa Barbara County Sheriff Narcotic Detectives, with assistance from Santa Maria Police Department Narcotic Suppression Team and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), conducted a probation search at a residence in the 200 block of Bell Road in Cuyama.

As a result, 38-year old Abraham Estudillo, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine for sale (estimated value $5,600.00), possession of a loaded firearm while in possession of narcotics, being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm and possession of a deadly weapon.

During the search of Estudillo's residence, approximately 2 ounces of methamphetamine packaged for sale, several loaded and unloaded firearms and paraphernalia consistent with narcotic sales were found.

Estudillo, a two time deported, aggravated felon, was booked into the Santa Maria Jail, with an immigration hold placed by ICE.
