Larimer County Sheriff's deputies are looking for an apparent illegal alien suspected of attempted first-degree murder in a shooting incident at a mobile home park.

Deputies say that at about 5:30 p.m. Tuesday a black pickup pulled up in front of a residence at the Poudre Valley Mobile Home Park at 2025 No. College in Fort Collins.

A man got out of the truck, raised a 9mm handgun and fired at two men, 35 and 25 years old, who'd been sitting on the front porch but who had run for cover inside the home.

No one was injured by the four or five gunshots, say Sheriff's investigators.

The shooter got back in the truck and fled.

The suspect is Manuel Bermudez Castaneda, 24, of Greeley.

Deputies believe he was with Dariela Almaguer-Gayton, 33, also of Greeley, and a 4-month-old baby at the time of the shooting.

A warrant is out for Castaneda's arrest for criminal attempt to commit murder in the first degree and for felony menacing and child abuse.

Investigators say it doesn't look like a random shooting and that the shooter and the targets knew each other.

Almaguer-Gayton told investigators that she and Castaneda are in the country as illegal aliens, Larimer County Sheriff spokeswoman Eloise Campanella said.
