Border Patrol Agent Injured in Crash

A Border Patrol agent is recovering after his unit rolled over during a chase near La Joya on Monday night, leaving him seriously injured.

Rosie Huey, the spokesperson for Border Patrol, confirmed that the agent was involved in an accident, but added that there were little details available at the time.

She said the was notified of the accident at around 10:30 p.m.

Sources say the rollover happened near the Military Highway and Vela Jackson Avenue, next to Walker Lake.

The condition of the agent and the extent of his injuries are unknown at this time.
