RIO BRAVO, TEXAS (KGNS) - The driver of an SUV takes off and crashes before border patrol agents can even react.

Five men and a woman are under arrest by the border patrol in Rio Bravo.

Agents were out on normal patrol, when a driver spotted them and they hit the gas.

Before agents could turn around the vehicle was nearly 90 degrees in the air.

It ran up the wire supporting a telephone pole.

Responders were concerned the weight of the vehicle could bring the utility pole down.

Border patrol agents continued looking around neighborhoods for more suspects, but didn't find any more.

The men were arrested for being in the U.S. illegally.

The woman who was driving is a U.S. citizen.

She's been arrested for smuggling.
